Pavlov VR: The difference between regular and VR shooters

Ойындар

Pavlov VR is the first real Virtual Reality game I have played. And for a game that I figured would just be Call of Duty in VR, it surpassed my expectations by a mile. Because of how gamechat works, it's more like 2009 Modern Warfare 2 in VR rather than 2019 Modern Warfare in VR. I still don't get why it is called Pavlov VR and even though I am quasi reviewing Pavlov in this video, I refuse to look up why Pavlov is called Pavlov. I like a good mystery. I hope this video was worth you time, if you were looking for a very serious review of Pavlov, boy oh boy did you come to the wrong place. Apologies for that. But I hope you got a chuckle out of it. A day without one nose exhale, is a day wasted in my humble opinion.

It's like that one animation for Fallout 4, but it's you actually pulling out the magazine instead of crouching next to your victim and stealing all his ammo hoping your lucky that the npc wouldn't notice.

I remember playing Onward for the first time. I told them I was new and someone told me to stay with them and was talking me through it as we went along. The game mode was uplink so you only get one life per round. I was amazed and slightly scared at how quiet it was. No one shot a bullet for what seemed like a long time as we went down alleyways and through a hallway. Then out of nowhere bullets flew. It was so loud I immediately shat myself and dove for cover behind a barrier. With bullets flying overhead I had adrenalin pumping through me scared for my life. I didn't dare look over the barrier as I noticed my teammate has been killed. I waited as I heard foot steps getting close. I aimed to the side of the barrier waiting for him to show up. When I saw him I shot and missed pretty bad. I died pretty much immediately. Never before have I had an experience like that. I was hooked.

One of my favorite moments ever was when I pushed up on a bridge solo and killing guys with my AK74u. I was blind firing and actually hitting people and some dude ran up with Akimbo Uzi's and rattled off both mags scoring two kills. He slowly reloaded and said "witness me.", stood up and while shooting he got turned into swiss cheese. It's extremely fun with friends. Even the goofy games like TTT are something that can't be replicated in a "2D" experience.

I have to say your videos remind me of Warren Buffet commentary on ski bloopers a bit, in a good way. Straight forward, dry humor, with some good info thrown in for measure. Roll with it. I exhaled thrice through the nose btw.

I figured that out pretty quick in Pavlov, you can reload and not even have to cock it as long as there's one in the chamber. The detail of this game is amazing

Your videos are always pleasant, and often amusing. When you talked about the air coming out of my nose, the air came out of my nose. …It would’ve been eerie if earlier you’d talked about the poop coming out of my butt, but nose air chatter was plenty good/not spooky.

There are really good moments in this game. Last night I was playing the green day sector push map, a medic and a rifleman held off a push of 6 attackers. The excitement is unreal. The players of pavlov are amazing. There's really not many toxic players, most people would be willing to stop and teach someone how to reload a weapon of they were unfamiliar.

I noticed you had a clip of it in the video, but I recommend Arizona Sunshine for a simple yet fun zombie story-focused shooter. Not to mention the player character voicelines are hilarious. Altogether including the two DLCs, theres about 3-4 hours of story gameplay, something you can knock out in an afternoon or on a bored weekend

One of my best memories involving gaming was playing Pavlov at 3am in a cod zombie map, we were all around the same age (13-15) all playing on our quests that we got for christmas and just talking about when we got into vr, how we heard about it, the vr youtubers we watched, etc. Honestly it was just amazing but the highlight of that night was getting the people I was talking to killed by taking out their magazines
