Pavlopetri: The Oldest Underwater City Discovered
The depths of the ocean are undoubtedly more mysterious than the vastness of space. Mankind has looked up at the black unknown for so long that its neck has become stiff. And in the thousands of years that followed, mankind's head was never lowered to look beneath the water. Perhaps that is why, in our hundreds of thousands of years of history, despite having at least some knowledge of everything, we discovered this ignorance, which could be considered a disgrace to humanity, beneath the waters. This blue mystery was three quarters of the world, the globe we were standing on. Therefore, the key to the questions we sought was encoded in shades of blue.
Of course, when it comes to the depths of the sea and the history of mankind, there is only one answer. Those who follow my videos frequently already know that answer by heart, because, as Plato put it, the only subject under the sea for thousands of years was "Atlantis". It was Atlantis that guided humanity with its ancient knowledge.
But today, in this subject in which human history is submerged, our focus may not be on Atlantis for the first time. But no matter what we do, the steps we take will lead us to Atlantis. For the name that introduced it to us, the one who first said, "Wake up, there is a sunken continent in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean!" was Plato, a well-known figure in human history. So who was Plato? Those of us with a keen interest in philosophy or human history already know him well. Plato was the philosopher of the ancient Greek lands, and the name that "Atlantis" kept repeating was also Plato. Today we are going to explore Plato's country, the ancient Greek country where his "World of Knowledge" was born.
