I don't think pavelski lost because simple was passive, I personally think simple actually was the better player, he was better movement wise and better under pressure and pavelski made so many mistakes, like I think pav did better when playing gauntlets but it felt like he was too uncomfortable on them and everytime he get a chance to drop them for a scythe, he did, so yeah even tho I like pav but simple played much better and smarter imo

You are right, the thing is that most kids only notice Pavelski's clips and think that Simple is passive when he has the better neutral and is constantly beating Pavelski on it and then resetting the pace to neutral
