Hey NRV I would greatly appreciate a scent test! Maybe garlic versus shrimp versus crawfish versus nightcrawler or whatever major scents you have in your area

I have always been a Pautzke fan and have caught a ton of fish but on any given day one brand will tear another one up for no other reason than how you hold your tongue lol. I love the Atlas pink shrimp eggs which have also been good for me. You had some real nice fish especially that one big one you had.

I appreciate your video. Effective comparison. Nice result for both brands on this day. You should consider doing more videos on small stream trout fishing with spinning equipment. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. - Tennessee Smoky

I love atlas mikes earthworm oil scent. It sure does change fishing for me. I know it’s nothing to do with this vid, but just seeing atlas mikes. Reminds me of how good their oil scents are for baits and lures.

Question: I use Mike's shrimp eggs all the time. Some swallow the hook and i either have to cut the line or keep the fish.. Does using the float/bobber allow you to notice the strike quicker? I notice none swallowed the hook and you safely released them all.. Tight lines from Mineral County WV

Yes, that is precisely why I drift fish 99% of the time. It reduces fish mortality and increases catch rates. I would suggest a foam or cork float. The light the better. It will help reduce drag and fish will hold on longer. Good luck! And tight lines

Everyone has their confidence bait. I have tried Pautkze products and Atlas Mike’s in my area, hands down Mike’s out fishes Pautkze. Mike’s Pink garlic egg, Mike’s Cream night crawler salmon egg, and Mike’s orange glitter salmon egg are my goto. I don’t know if the Pautkze egg cure, color or scent is the issue, but my trout definitely have a preference.

Eddie Schall i drive 6.5 hours from PA to fish cripple creek. This blue Springs is on the same creek. Worth every penny if you are after anything from 2.5 pounds to 10+ pound trout. Example in Sept i was there and used every bait and tactic in the book for these same trout 1 fish was caught with probably at least 50-60 fish seen in various holes. Water was low clear and not very cool. I love NRV’s videos his tactics and lean a-lot from him. If you ever get a chance check this place out or Cedar Creek lodge. I just booked a 2 day trip for April.

Just got jar of Pautzke fire balls in my mystery tackle box! Stoked to try them out but I’m n really sure how to fish them in a deeper lake in winter. Not too many creeks and rivers around me

Tie your self up the same rig displayed in this video. Only difference is you'll need to use a slip bobber and stopper. That way you can adjust your depth however far down you need. This time of year in lakes/ponds you'll find trout suspended in the water colom just a few feet from the surface or tucked tightly to the bottom. Be sure to adjust your depth constantly until youve located the sweet spot. Good luck and tight lines!
