Manny never took random testing in his life, he refused for YEARS to take random testing for the floyd fight, when everything else was agreed. and people let him get away with saying "im scared of needles". so a top world class athlete can simply refuse drug testing because he claims to be scared of needles and everyone says "oh fair enough". the guy is covered in tattoos... and has had no issues with the needles recently. couple this with the fact he looked awful as soon as he got tested.... yeah it seems pretty obvious to me. but because hes the good guy, people call bullshit

Literally jus said this to someone an hour ago lol. I think manny and Floyd are one of the best ever. But I know damn well if manny was the one that asked for a drug test or offered a split that Floyd didn’t wanna accept, or whatever, there would be no excuses. He would be scared, cheating, ducking, and bashed for not agreeing to the terms jus to get the fight done. When manny does it, they say well mayweather wanted to have drug tests close to the fight and that would drain him…im like u mean the same test Floyd would take the same way?? And he wound up agreeing and taking the test eventually anyway and then lost and claimed that he had a shoulder injury. But the contradiction comes in cuz he threw 429 punches in total wit both arms the whole fight, and after the fight claimed he won the fight. But at the same press conference talking about his shoulder. If u feel u won, why u even bringing that up? Lol Floyd fought many times either injured going into a fight or got injured in the fight and he still won so I don’t get it lmao sorry for the long comment

Yup, against Cotto I couldn't believe Pacquiao got all the way to that weight and at the same time faught 12rds with Cotto as if each round was the 1st. A heavy Pacquiao without PED use should have shown some tire but somehow, having gained weight and most likely having sacrificed exercises that cut weight i was surprised Manny had the speed and stamina to throw and move sooooo much. Probably his most active fight...at his heaviest

With all these comments I see DEFENDING Pacquiao, I see no one educating nor anyone and intelligently breaking down why Pacquiao DIDN'T cheat!! There are far more reasons IMO to point to Pacquiao cheating than not. All I see are personal insults to Paulie, them bringing up he's jealous and etc, and people saying "well Pacquiao never failed a drug test" which is okay but their are numerous ways to get around tests without getting caught. All I'm saying is Paulie has stood firm on saying Pacquiao has cheated for years, but I've never seen anyone intelligently defend Pacquiao. If a boxer refuse a drug test before and after the fight is simply because is hiding something, so if the boxer is clean then he will always do as many drug test that are required before and after the fight. There have been older champions than pacquiao that came before him. Pacquiao also has done alot of major fights, you would think if pacquiao has ever done PEDS one of those fights would have exposed him by now. I pity paulie, seeing him trying to compare himself to someone great. It's a bitter pill to take. All he has is his self testimony. also, even if there are peds in the game, the difference still exists. Even if paulie himself takes as much PEDs as humanly possible he will still not achieve what pacquiao has achieved hence this argument is pointless because either way he will still feel bitter about it and accuse those who has achieved more than him just so he can sleep soundly. Pacquiao started out as a fighter from his young teens and evolved as a complete boxer today, he debuted when he was still a minor, he had to lie about his age to debut. He also comes from 3rd world country poverty so he has no money for any sophisticated peds which would have evaded testings. He doesnt even have a home, he had to sleep in a dilapidated boxing gym where he trains. The lists goes on. Paulie has never done any actual research on pacquiao that's why he comes off bitter. In essence, no matter how much paulie tries to smear pacquiao's legacy, he will always be inferior and no amount of smearing will change that.

Malignaggi's 100% correct. It was glaringly obvious to anyone who understands the science and methods behind PEDs that Pacquiao was cheating while at the top of his career, and credit to Paulie for saying it out-loud. In fact, numerous other top fighters have also cheated. Maybe it'll take a top fighter being killed by a guy who juicing for boxing to wise-up and take a unified, international stance on this issue.

The fact you've mentioned Mayweather seems to suggest you think this is a Pacquiao vs Mayweather debate, when anyone not blinded by that whole playground bullshit recognises a cheat of any name when they see one. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Mayweather's taken things he shouldn't have (several of the Money Team have already been caught), and I'd definitely throw Juan Manuel Marquez into the mix too. As for the science behind PEDs, a quick Google search and some reading will shed some light. I work with drug addicts and recently did a course in PEDs. The methods used have never been more sophisticated, both in hiding usage of illegal substances and marginally altering those substances so that they're not listed on any cheat-sheets. The crude days of the Ben Johnson / Florence Griffith-Joyner era are long gone, though one thing that can't be hidden are the telling results - increased speed, power and resiliency, despite artificial extra-weight - as outlined by Malignaggi in this video.

Put to sleep under 118? Stop it man. Those were body shots and not punches "to the chin". Also, Pac was having a hard time making the weight in those fights as his skeletal structure was growing at a rapid pace at the time, meaning his body is speeding up in maturity, similar to a growth spurt. He is way over dehydrated especially in the 3k battery fight.

Many people here don’t understand what Paulie is saying so I’ll break it down for y’all. Generally, when a fighter moves up in weight, at least one of his physical attributes will diminish. Not only did Pacquiao retain all of his physical attributes as he moved up, but his physical attributes actually improved meaning his power, speed, stamina, and chin. That never happens in the sport of boxing. For example, Roy Jones is the most physically gifted fighter ever but even he lost a little speed and power as he moved up in weight. But Pacquiao’s physical attributes all got better as he moved up in weight. Another point that Paulie was making is when he talked about how fighters have to show new wrinkles in their game as they move up. What he meant is that it’s important to hone and improve your technical skills as you move up because your physical attributes will diminish. When Pacquiao arrived in the States in 2001, his technical skills did improve under the tutelage of Freddie Roach. But once we got to like 2006, Pacquiao technical skills plateau’d. When Pacquiao became a monster in 2009, there were no technical improvements from 2006. The improvements were all physical and his body and head looked different than ever before. This is what made Paulie and other fighters suspicious. When a 30 yr old athlete experiences physical improvements but has no technical improvements, then people will wonder and they have right to do so.

No technical improvements? Man, Pac improved tremendously technically. Inthe lower weight classes, he only relied on his power. When he went up in weight, he developed his right hand and his footwork. His KO ratio actually dropped when he went up in weight. He relied on other aspects of the game that's why he kept on winning even in his 40s.

So as a guy showed him any lateral movement he was reaching with his punches, feet trailing behind him, stumbling over his own feet, walking into traps and unable to cit the ring off

He started boxing at 19 years old and worked his way up 147 where he stayed for the 2nd half of his career accept for like 3 fights when he fought against Canelo, Cotto, and Oscar de la hoya in which he didn't even reach the full weight limit because he was a naturally smaller guy. Also as Mayweather aged his power was noticeably less effective so he had to win fights with skills and defense while Manny on the other hand was moving up and destroying people badly which is obviously unnatural for someone who moved all the way up from 105. Even Canelo who started 154 struggled and loss at 175 against Bivol because even though he probably weighed 175, he wasn't used to fighting at that weight against that caliber of fighter and it was noticeable even in his prime.

He then went up to lightweight which is 130. Then went up to 140 then 147 and then only 3 times to 154 where one of those fights was a catchweight at 152. @@ragtagrocky ummmm no. Yes you're right, but why was he doing it for the FIRST time in his career. Take a look at Thomas Hauser's article on PED's/usada/Floyd otherwise known as IV-Gate. A rumor that was started by the Floyd camp in order to avoid fighting Paquiao when Paquiao was still at his peak. It was a case of the pot called the kettle black. And no it was not legit. It was outside of the contractual agreement between both camps leading up to the fight. This info did not come out for at least 2 week after the fight happened. And of course the company that allowed it was USADA, who is definitely in bed with the Mayweather-Haymon camp. But in the end, who got got? We did, if we paid for the fight(which I didn't last minute, but was definitely going to). It sucks, but we need to follow the evidence.
