Still one of my favorites. I really wish he' d re-release this album, it was the first I ever heard of them and influenced my musical taste for a lifetime. Thank you for posting this track.
Saw the Consort perform this album in its entirety at the Chautauqua Institute in 1972 I think. It opened a whole new world of music for me. Bought the album that night and still have it, along with many other Consort albums and CDs. Sun Singer my favorite cut of all.
Always been one of my favorite songs... thanks for sharing!
I have this LP from long ago....Still love it.....
Freaking love this album. Wish somebody would find the master tapes and re-master to digital. I've found a couple of copies over the years but they're hard to find. Fantastic album though :-) Thanks for posting.
I knew this peace from my favorite Oregon"s Winter Light long time before Winter Consort's original version. Both are beautiful!
Been years! Thanks so much!
I remember as a teenager being out and about on a snowy afternoon in late 1972 and buying this album from a downtown record store. Sad that one of the members, percussionist Colin Walcott I think, was killed a few years later in a car accident in Germany.
Yup, i got an old vinyl of this back in the day. just think, as an album it likely only has about half the concert on it. Somewhere there's more tape, there always is. Dream on you may say, well that's my choice.
I have this LP too, its hard to find.. anyone ever seen a CD or download (not ripped from the vinyl?) It must have been something Paul Winter and group didn't care about, but I think its a lovely LP.

Kimmie girl Indeed Road is a hard to find LP. It's a gatefold sleeve with a marvelous wraparound illustration. As far as I can tell it has never been issued on CD. The tracks posted were sourced from vinyl on fairly good equipment and as such seem to be the only versions available.

Talcarnan actually, yes, it has been released on CD - I have one. I should have bought every one I saw years ago because it is long out of print now. It was on A&M records label. Every so often one shows up on E bay and goes for about $100.
Sounds like somebody is drawing an endless bong hit in the background....
Fugue
It sounds like you were chopping wood on your vinyl copy of this record.
The rip isn't to good!!...a lot of background noise, but such beautiful music.
Why bother it is a damaged-flutter load through-out this entire track you have posted? Can you post the whole album without the sound challenges please?

As I stated in my description this was sourced from a vinyl copy (i.e. needledrop) which wasn't in the best condition even after careful cleaning. This and the other track I poisted were the only two pieces of music I liked. I no longer have the facilities to source vinyl and I no longer own this album so re-recording it is no longer possible. As for why I posted it - because it;s a nice piece of music and not available anywhere elkse on KZread unless you know different.
