I don't think I will ever finish a Paul Washer sermon in one sitting because all I want to do 15 minutes into listening is get on my knees before God.

This guy is the last of a dying breed preaching EXACTLY what is in the Bible and I've never heard him vary off of it him and John Macarthur absolute raw truth no sugar coating whatsoever and it frightens me which is not a bad thing better to frighten me out of hell than to sweet talk me into it!

Jacob's wrestling with an angel is an example of coming with reverence and extreme boldness. He respected God so much he knew the strength he needed to muster and so bold he dared to force a blessing out of him.

This one of the best messages on prayer I have ever heard in my many years as a Christian. Paul Washer makes almost all contemporary evangelical preachers seem lukewarm. I appreciate his passion for God and His Word. What he says is true. You can be an honor graduate of Masters Seminary and still have no power in your preaching if you are not a man of prayer. In the end, Jesus is not only all we need, He is also all we have.

Pray as we look for a more permanent place to live we find one soon. I love the fact following Jesus cost every cent we had accept for food and a roof over my head because that's grace because it leaves no room for son.

"Boldness and Reverence go hand in hand". Fantastic. "There is more to preaching that your intellect" or being correct. Wow. It's always a reminder that the Pharisees knew the law, and the Sadducees knew the Old Testament correctly. And yet there was no relationship.

I LOVED his message on prayer, and recall him reading someone; "I need the Holy Spirit, as like air". God has been speaking to me, in that way also. I also loved his courage, in speaking to people who were clearly Reformed, people with awesome and solid doctrine; telling them that they MUST also seek the Holy Spirit, His power and His baptism with FIRE!

THANK YOU soooi much for saying what you said about prayer specifically when you hear people pray in tongues and it sounds exactly like the pastor or when they pray in English. I noticed this in a charismatic church I attended once and when I brought it to the pastors attention it seemed like the pastor was offended by my observation. There's NO way that your tongue should sound like the pastors unless that's the Only time you pray. In church once a week.

A Calvinist prayer: Dear Jesus I guess I’m supposed to say some “Sinner’s prayer” thing to be “saved,” but it feels like works to me. Now that I’ve learned that I’m “Elect,” I hardly see the point of Me asking for forgiveness or confessing ANYTHING since YOUR forgiveness is a FREE gift… and even having to say “I’m sorry” for anything feels like “WORKS.” I don’t need to Do anything or even TELL people about You, because it’s a FREE GIFT. I don’t know who the “Great Commission” is for because I certainly don’t see the point…of ME telling THEM about YOU when YOU”VE already decided who gets to go to heaven (like me) and who gets fried forever. It’s not right that YOU should expect ME to change, to stop sinning or really try in ANY WAY to listen to or obey YOU. In fact….Jesus, it seems a little like WORKS to even have to thank YOU. So why don’t YOU just do YOU and I’ll do ME and I’ll see You in Heaven. Sincerely John Calvin and all of his followers. Once puffed up in the Calvinist pride of security, they have to be taught that "Calvinist Pride doesn't mean Pride"! It means humble. I'm so humbled by it it's all I can do to keep from bursting with pride. That's the end game of Satan. Calvinism paints a portrait of a God who cannot be trusted to genuinely love any one particular person, only the 'mysterious, unnamed' elect who nobody can identify for certain. Truth in Love

In corporate prayer meetings, how are they to be conducted exactly? I’m in a 1689 church but have always thought that our prayer meetings could be more biblical some how . To my shame and sin I have avoided Sunday school for years on end so that I could avoid the prayer time as well . It is exactly as pastor Paul explained in his sermon on the prayer meeting . Now in your sermon you explained what not to to and I agree with you but who should pray : elders , just the men , all at once , are all to prey silently except for a few . I’m really struggling in this brothers and could use help . I’m one who doesn’t like for my voice to be heard and truly really if I’m honest get angry inside when someone asks me to pray openly at church . I’m really flustered with my lack of participation and service to the lords people. I can’t be the only one who struggles with this and I’m open to any solid wisdom in this .

Can somebody explain to me the passages of Romans 10:6-8? What is God getting at here? Bringing Christ up and down... What does this mean?

I finally figured out who he looks like. The professor from Gilligan's Island. That bugged me for a while. It's a compliment too.

today God was teaching in Genius chapter 3 that Jesus wants us have clear cut rules based on the word of God and clear consequences for our children if our children break those rules like God did for Adam and Eve.

+EstherJael Paul Washer is a preacher, not an entertainer. And it turns out you know nothing about brother Paul's life, he's a joyful man! :)

+EstherJael He is serious about preaching the word because he knows the God he is serving. Also knows the responsibility that he carries every time he stands up to preach, something the majority of today's preachers don't take seriously.

My question remains tho. I can't find anyone that answers this. Does God listen to you when you don't feel like praying? Is the prayer effective?

Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand! Matthew 11:15. Who is he that overcometh the world, *but he that believeth that Jesus is the SON of God?* 1 John 5:5. *NOT GOD OR A TRINITY,* but as St john has said: but he that believeth that Jesus is the SON of God? 1 John 5:5. And as Jesus has said: *ETERNAL LIFE is believing His Father GOD is the only ONE TRUE GOD alone.* John 17:3. Which is the FIRST commandment one MUST believe. Mark 12:29. The Hebrew text of Deuteronomy 6:4 says: Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God; *Yahweh is ONE:* (PERSON). Hezekiah prayed before Yahweh, and said, "Yahweh, the God of Israel, who sit [above] the cherubim, *YOU ARE THE GOD, EVEN YOU ALONE,* of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. 2 Kings 19:15. World English Bible. Job 23:13: *BUT HE ALONE IS GOD,* and who can oppose him? God does as he pleases. The HEBREW text actually says *GOD IS :בְ֭אֶחָד ḇə-’e-ḥāḏ [UNIQUELY] ONE.*

Jesus Said..”Come to Me as a child.” Jesus doesn’t favor the self-righteous and the highly educated.
