The German DJs have developed the old school trance style very well in the past. This is excellent style. I wish I was one of the people of that generation. Those who listen to these music live are very lucky. Thank you Paul Van Dyk. 👋 👋 by the way Miss them old trance :'(

Turkei I saw him live at least 7 times between 2002-2005. Those were great times! He also put on a great show but he was famous for playing the same song twice during long sets (6 hours or more)

Your not the only one. Back then rave, club and DJ culture once meant something. When they stick in touch with there underground turntablist roots. Make it all great again from mid 1980's - mid 2000's!

Sweet lord. I remember watching this on TV and recording it on tape ... The guy behind was writing down the track IDs and the playlist was up on the internet day or two later :) Damn, I miss this show.

I remember riding in my cousins car and her putting on for an angel (knowing now when it first came out) and became obsessed with this type of music as it was the first time I had heard it. I was 8yrs old PVD music will always bring me joy he is a true pioneer

I remember being 7 years old when my older brothers would blast PVD, takes me back to my childhood lol

Always so collected, no stupid dance moves, no showboating, very zen-like, seen him at least twice back in the day. Would give anything to go relive those golden years, the sense of discovery of all this wonderful and fascinating electronic music was unparalleled (I jumped on the boat in 2001, when I was 18 years old, though I know you can trace its origins back to 1994 or so)

because they all use crappy pioneer cd players instead of direct drive Technics , no skill involved anymore the mixers are so advanced you cant miss match a record as they self adjust with beatmatch pitch timing etc , why they had to fuck with something that wasnt broken is beyond me , its as bad as seening djs bring there laptops and hit play or have there set on a usb stick, well done pioneeer for introducing that trick its made all the last decade of djs lazy and not care about there music enough to go down the root of get there tunes played on the daytime radio shows EDM =sucks ballzs!

Maestro Paul Van Dyk is a mainstream unknown and an icon to all deep house underground DJ's.

Motu - Running Water is something special. Love that tune so much

perfect old school trance von Paul auf Vinyl. Die Zeit wird zwar nicht wiederkommen aber die Erinnerung bleibt.

It is amazing how, despite the video footage looks like it comes from 30 years ago, early 2000s trance still sounds like it comes from the future. Hands down ❤

Insanity set, first time seeing this and it's 2021. What's even more epic, is the fact that he's using an FS1 timecode setup 🤯🤯🤯🤯 that was my first timecode setup I ever had, it was deemed the hockey puck. Mind=blown

PvD ist einfach der aller größte und beste DJ den ich kenne. Bis heute die Nr 1 die er ist. Egal welcher Track gespielt wird von ihm ist geil. Ich war so froh das ich ihn wieder auf der Nature One 2019 sehen konnte live , ich bin riesen großer PvD Fan von ihm und das für immer und falls ich 90 Jahre alt werden sollte denn selbst da noch. Hes just mixing vinyl how all DJs used to do it, and should do it today too. Its DISC jockey. Not PC-jockey. Its practical, not digital. Analog. Empirical. Demonstrable. No such thing as digital beat matchers and traktor for DJ beatmatching in these days 90s and early 00s. We just did it all by ear. Thats why real DJs mix vinyl. Everyone else using beat sync, digi decks, and usb are imposters pretending to do what we did. Its disrespectful the stuff going on today with all these people buying gear and doing their cheap impression of us to make money. Calling themselves DJs. It wasn't easy getting headline sets, you had to be good. Talented. In every way, beat selection, the discipline gained from long hours of hunting vinyl in record barns, crowd discernment and true skills on the turntables. And many of us got breaks through winning DJ comps and impressing promoters at after party sets. WITH SKILL. Its not even a thing today. Its a cheap replica. All they need now to counterfeit what we did, is $$$. Money. Then they just log onto Beatport, press a few buttons, then pretend to be a DJ by basically just playing music. Xero skill involved compared to vinyl. Its not in any way whatsoever the same thing. Anyway. Have fun whatever you do. Take care mate
