Still, over ten years after the fact, i love to watch these videos and reminisce about these awesome seven days in 2010 we spent aboard this ship. That's me at 1:45 messing with the TV set in the lounge. Would give anything to go again..... It was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us six.

LOL. The space on a surface ship is unbelievable, I could not believe the size of the galley. One of the comments was "you couldn't pay me to go on a cruise." Ironically more people would have paid big bucks to submerge just once on the Jefferson, my old sub. Kind of unique.

West or is that Left Coast Canuckian.. Anyway, I was told a few years ago by a travel agent friend, that to hop onto a Container Ship, you have to contact the shipping agents directly to see which are available, although with Covid the rules have changed.. I had a friend back years ago, he essentially travelled around the World but I cannot remember how long or the cost. . But it is doable..

Got caught in some kind of rogue wind out of nowhere east of Cabo San Lucas Mexico. We were fishing for sail fish on the Pacific side of the cape In about two thousand feet of water. I am not a sailor .Over a period of about ten minutes the sea went from friendly to deadly with ten foot waves. We were in a thirty foot twin Diesel fishing boat chartered out of Cabo. The waves kept pushing the boat side ways until they were breaking over the side of the boat one after the other. I was scared fishless. As I remember back, the captain, who was maybe twenty didn't seem to get the idea that we could sink if the boat got hit broadside by a large rogue wave. There were no other boats within sight. He and the first mate(?) sat up on the fly bridge smoking and laughing. We caught one ten pound yellow tuna. We did not tip the captain or the first mate. In my opinion we were lucky to get back to port alive.
