It was a very special event. There were only 2 musical snippets played, but I will never forget hearing the studio version of 'I Saw Her Standing There' blasting through the speakers with 20 year old McCartney singing, while almost 6 decades on the 79 year old one was still as sharp as always right there in front of me, tapping his Beatles boots and singing along a bit.

I know it bothers him the incorrect stuff about Beatle history and who really did what -- so I am happy he goes about setting the record straight - the great thing about the recent Get Back docu-series is you see Paul leading the band, pushing the guys, suggesting arrangements - but what did amaze me - is that we see John goofing around during the rehearsals but once the band did the roof top concert John morphed and gave great compelling performances - as if he hit a switch and really came to life as a performer -- PS - I love and appreciate how Ringo in interviews credits Paul for all of the recordings the band made, that if not for his pushing the guys the output would have been far less - Paul is a genius

Paul is known for cleaning up and retelling Beatles stories in a slightly more polite way than they actually occurred. Having watched the "Get Back" documentary, the negative stories about Paul, and the the Beatles, are exaggerated. During a conversation about the production Paul cited the real, underlying problem they were facing, 4 very strong individuals (paraphrased). And the were. And it was very stressful. Seeing him on Jimmy Kimmel cracked me up. One thing I will credit Paul for is unushamedly looking his age (or at worst making subtler attempts to hide it?). Ringo has less gray hair now than he did in 1969! I suspect he has a spot of Vitiligo on his temple. It makes the skin and any hair growing from it white! I had white chest hair in my 20 because of it. The patches can grow and spread, AFAIK it's an auto-immune thing.

"Paul McCartney" has referred to Ringo -- a man two years his senior -- as his "little brother". "Paul McCartney" has indicated that he's ten years younger than the Queen -- but actually, Paul McCartney was born 16 years after the Queen was born. "Paul McCartney" "remembers" playing "Yesterday" on the Beatles' first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show after their first trip to America -- when he had not even written the song yet. "Paul McCartney" "remembers" recording the Lennon song "Tomorrow Never Knows" after the Beatles stopped touring -- he specifically states that the song was the direct product of the freedom that the group had after it had ceased touring, allowing them greater leeway to experiment in the studio. Except that "Tomorrow Never Knows" is on the Revolver album which was recorded BEFORE the Beatles last tour. I can't even imagine why "Paul McCartney" gets these significant details wrong, but there is no reason to suppose that his memory is reliable.
