Paul Lynde (Hollywood Squares) on Carson 1976

Welcome! These clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital many from the 70's, 80's and 90's. SADLY, I DON'T HAVE THE ORIGINAL AIR DATES! There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. Please hit the like button.

Paul was so sincere, and appears kind. His eyes seem to show honesty. He seems perceptive on the fly, probably the "timing" thing he mentions as being God-given. The warmth he exudes for his audience. In my opinion, regardless of if the world was ready for him or not, had he managed any insecurities further, he could have gone in so many directions with his calling in life. And we'd be so much the richer for it. His humble beginnings carried with him throughout.
