I remember story of the infamous house show match on March 1, 2003, where Randy Orton and Batista had a match between Bubba and D-Von. The match ended with Batista tearing a muscle in his bicep or shoulder (iirc), Randy breaking his foot, and Bubba hurting his back (from landing on his foot), and the latter was more concerned about his own injury than anyone else's, even though the match stopped all of them from getting a spot on WM19, particularly Randy who was young and being pushed like crazy. That pretty much sums up everything you need to know about Bubba.

Mr. Peterman was pretty famous character actor.

D-von did a interview years ago saying saying him and bubba don’t do business anymore I assume they aren’t best friends but probably get along enough to do signings together and reunion appearances

I asked D-Von last year at Convention about Bubba, and he said they haven't spoken for 7 years, which was probably when their last tag run in WWE ended.

Them two famous magicians who used to do shows in Vegas together but outside of the shows and appearances they didn't hang out or were really friends. It's a similar situation here with Bully and D-Von were they can work together but won't hang out socially

Love this shit, Rene honestly seems like he'd be a good dude to bullshit with, out of all the wrestlers out there... it sucks he didn't quite get to where he coulda been. I always look at him and Chris Masters as dudes who Triple H looked at, saw their better bodies, and then shit on them backstage till they were gone.

I can understand that from experience. I was in a tag team where it was kinda like that,where I was just willing to roll with what the bookers had for us while my partner was trying to politic. If your partner is getting heat in the locker room,as the partner,the team gets heat. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it seems like it was with Bubba and D-Von

I was in a tag in 2000. I wasn't politicking but was defended our status in my partners absence. I got heat and he didn't back me. I had a tryout match the following year in front of Rick Bassman, hit a rope walk and a clean swanton (in 2001 mind you) and got accepted to UPW. (Where Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and John Cena was training) Sadly the terrible events of 9-11 affected many lives and my move to California never happened. Much love to anyone chasing their dream. Don't give up!
