The part that's amazing to me is that Paul figured out a way to say the HHH thing where to the crowd in the arena and the IWC would take it as a shot against HHH but to everyone else it actually puts HHH over as the best guy on the roster who would beat JBL in a heartbeat

Paul's comment has double meaning. 1- Triple H is far better than JBL. 2- Had Triple H been part of Smackdown instead of Raw, he would've been the biggest star on the show and JBL would've never been given the opportunity he was given because Smackdown needed a top heel. Triple H was the biggest heel of the company at the time. He's basically saying that JBL didn't make it because of his talent or skills but because Smackdown didn't have a better option available.

My favorite is when Paul said something along the lines of Brock Lesnar can beat any wrestler or any legends in their prime. The next week, he repeats that claim and then mentions all the WWE legends and stars that could've addressed or refuted that claim on social media but didn't because they know it's true. While he's going through the names, some fan in attendance screams "Andre the Giant". Paul, mid sentence, literally turns around and screams "I know I left out Andre because he's dead STUPID!" Man I love that moment.

@pTw he was asked about that promo. he asked vince if he wants to know what he was going to say all day that day, and vince kept saying no. just make him money, make it so people wanna buy tickets to the PPV. and fkin hell it did just that. and the only reason he was allowed to talk about vinces father was because he knew vinces dad and only said good things about him in the promo.

@bikram das Back then Smackdown was on Tuesdays and Triple H didn't want to work on Tuesdays. So he preferred to work Mondays on RAW. It was mid 2004 until Wresltemania 21 in 2005. That's when JBL was WWE champion until he lost to John Cena at Mania 21 while HHH was on RAW as World heavyweight champion until he lost to Batista at Mania 21. That's the whole story

My absolute favorite ppv ever sandman's entrance was probably the best and wwe nerfed it. I have the DVD and was able to have Sabu sign it a few years back at a weed event that had live wrestling I got to see Sabu hit a wrestler I was talking to before the show he got hit 19 times with a chair it was awesome

Just before Invasion, he was announcing with JR. We fans were spoiled.

The promo heyman pulled after they broke the streak is beyond underrated. He cemented the colossal moment and the participants of what it was. Giants collided. Giants created history. And Paul heyman is the giant that wrote the entire story.

Love him or hate him, the man is gold on the mic. Paul Heyman has a no-nonsense tongue. And a brain that has no-filter. Put some respect on that man’s name!!

Paul explained in an interview that the reason this promo came to be is because someone else (I don't remember who) did a promo on Vince the week before and it was poorly received and unimpactful. Then at the next creative meeting, Michael Hayes asked Vince if he really wanted someone to verbally rip him a new one? When Vince said yes, Hayes turned to Paul and booked him for a promo on Raw. Even Vince got excited and told Paul to say whatever he wants, however he wants and not tell him what he was going to say.

His VKM shoot is probably one of the greatest shoot promos in history. He said what every fan wanted to say to Vince’s face.

That's because Triple H was a better heel that time.

His worked shoot against Vince in 2001 is perhaps the greatest of all time for fans of the business. The fact he even mentioned Don Owen, Sam Mushnick and Jim Crockett, names that probably 99% of the fans didn't know (and even fewer now know), just makes it all the better.

I'm 23 in a few weeks and only started watching wrestling at 19, but GOD ALMIGHTY what I wouldn't give to see ECW as it was come back. I think we're getting a bit of its spirit with AEW, but it just doesn't compare (no shade to AEW, they're arguably my favorite promotion currently).

People love Paul because he’s relatable. The Everyman with great ideas, passion and energy and just enough crazy to be lovable.

The way Paul hung on the ropes after dissing JBL had me dying 😂

Heyman's ECW promo literally gave me chills. He's truly an exceptionally gifted speaker for sure.

“...and when your father DIED...you competed.” My favorite part of the movie. The intensity in his voice.

When the crowd starting saying "you screwed matt" edge should of got a mic and said "no I screwed lita"

Had Heyman had the financial backing before Time Warner took over WCW and not be in control of the money, ECW would've won.

I just love the Paulrus. All he had to do was walk out from the Gorilla position and start "Ladies and gentlemen..." and I wanted to slap him into next week. Heyman doesn't have the comedy of Heenan, but the two of them are incomparable on the mic.

Always been my favorite Manager. Loved Paul when he had the Dangerous Alliance back in the NWA/WCW days. This guy always had it.

Without Heyman, modern wrestling would not exist. He is a rare genius....
