Paul seems like a genuine nice guy, good dad, and chill dude. I love finding out about actors I like. Based on the intensity required of some of his (amazing) roles, I didn't picture him like this in real life at all. He moves up yet another peg in my book: not just a good actor, he seems like a good person. 👍

So I completely missed Dumb Money in my local cinemas because I didn't see the actors going the usual late show publicity circuit. It's one of the ways the SAG AFTRA strike affected ticket sales, and good for them for making that point.

Also, Being Flynn with Robert Deniro based on a true story and Love and Mercy based on Beach Boys Brian Wilson. I can't think of any film that Paul Dano is in that I don't enjoy. WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE!!! I watched it when I was 4, first theater experience. It might be a little intense for some kids though for sure. I was always very, very mature for my age but it sounds like his 5-year-old was very similar to 5-year-old me. It would depend on the child. Though it is only his voice in the film. I grew up loving Paul movies not even fully knowing it. Loved Swiss Army Man as well, I had to have been younger than 10 lol. I feel like a proud mom even though Paul’s more than twice my age. He’s very interesting, I’d hypothetically cast him in a film of mine for sure! I could definitely sense that Paul used pieces of himself in this role and had a bit of fun with it, 100%, and I absolutely love seeing him in cozy roles like this. He always brings a distinct respect to his biopics, did the same with Love & Mercy. But I know he also doesn’t mind dark subject matter. I just hate seeing people dehumanizing him on the internet, I wanna throw hands but I don’t because I’m a pacifist. I absolutely love his choice about Keith, giving him his space, what a respectful guy. 50-60 people?!?! Jesus. I thought my family was big. We’re Hispanic too, lmao, so it’s one big family party. Lmao “I do dishes.” That’s me too. I’m the dishes girl. 😂
