It's an act from beginning to end. Seen him on other things and he's completely different. It's like a piece of genius level performance art. He's just flattened everything. Must've taken some control.

Vast majority of tasks are filmed out of sequence and on different days. Which is why during certain tasks weather maybe more of an issue for other contestants. So, Alex will have had a cumulative of 5 hours in a shed, however, most likely not on the same day.

I genuinely want the full hour of footage of Paul having fun in the bouncy castle

Aryllis Thought about Acaster as much of his comedy is set in his own weird little world, but by Taskmaster standards he wasn’t especially unconventional. (Similar for Noel Fielding really, although I’ve never been much of a fan of his anyway.)

They talked about Paul on the podcast Acaster does with Ed Gamble. Greg was actually the guest and they discussed a moment where Paul was asked by the waiter if he wanted still or sparkling water, and Paul, blank faced, went "What'cha recommend?"

Gotta love how Londoners have turned "innit" into a single word lol, and they use it as a crutch even if it doesn't make any sense in the sentence.

Ironically, Paul looked more surprised at Alex's lack of reaction to Brown Clown than Alex did at the sudden appearance of Brown Clown.

Rowan Aboat I just want to see her reaction. I always find myself falling a bit in love with the women on the show, but Mel especially. A fizzy, fuzzy bundle of pure joy. Even if (as you and Greg say) that’s not what Taskmaster’s about.

I love how instead of saying "it works with men, too" Paul decided to go with "no but mainly women, innit?"

he's what i didn't expect to get from this show, yet easily one of the best...

He radiates the same silent psychopath energy as Bob Mortimer and Hugh Dennis.

I love how Taskmaster teaches us how most people on telly have such disturbed minds

probably one of the funniest one man tasks I've seen so far. Very similar to what they did to Mel in series 7, they took the most dour contestant and put them in the happiest situation whereas with Mel they took the cheeriest and gave her a nightmare to deal with
