I'm sure Paul Anka probably knew Donny was going to come out and sing that song with him, but I loved the look on his face when Donny started singing.. What a bunch of talent on that stage! I love it, and they both sang beautifully. Thanks for the upload.

Donny a good singer and entertainer, was a beautiful young man. Anka is a legendary singer.

I love this song, it doesn't matter which one sings it. They did a great job.

Fantastic! Paul was my first "Puppy Love". Donny was every bit as good as Paul, when he came out with his version. Both are both extremely talented men.

Omg what a great find! Two icons who made Puppy Love a hit on the same stage! I must say that Donny Osmond's version is my favorite..he was my teen idol in the 70's and I am still a fan. Thank you so much for sharing!

This is terrific to see Paul and Donny singing this together. If I have to choose which one I like better, it would be Donny. This song is a classic that will always be remembered. I would have loved to hear Elvis 's version of this song if he only recorded it.

I’ve loved Paul Anka since the first time I heard him. Been to all his concerts in Nashville and will go as long as he has a concert. He is awesome and not bad yo look at. Love you Paul!! Love Donnie also, his voice is so strong and he puts on a great show. He turned out to be such a handsome man. I listen to nothing but 50’s on 5. Can’t wait for another 50’s early 60’s concert in Nashville. Thanks to u tube and oldies but goodies for bringing back the best songs and entertainers of all times.

I seen Donny Osmond recently on boxing Day in London !! at the palladium in pantomime he sang this song during the pantomime bought memories from my youth when osmonds were out there back in the 70s ! The person I often think about daily was in my thoughts again I was thinking if you were sitting right here now with me Even as friends! how lovely that would be to share an evening together just enjoying each others company . ❤

Listened to both originals. Anka version seems real heartache. Osmonds sounds like a little kid who sings really good. I have always favored Donny's because his voice was so cute and innocent. Today's Donny really sings it. Anka what a heart felt voice. I am a believer. Your version is real and has my vote. Donny's is fun and cool to listen to but any lyrics would have made the song work for him. Both legends

It was written by Paul anka for Annette Funicello of the 1st Mickey mouse club. Saw a KZread clip with Donny where he explain he was having a young affair with Annette funicello,.Their parents kept saying it was just Puppy Love. That's how thi song came to be written.
