I’ve seen Paul perform this live several times. Each performance is perfection. The ability to bring a 1500+ seat arena to pin drop silence hanging on every note and feeling like he’s singing right to you is a rare talent. He conveys so much emotion in his voice, his piano, and the overall arrangement. I’m a forever fan. Thank you for sharing your gift.

Heard this song for first time today. My 80 yr old Dad was listening to it on PBS this afternoon. Mr. Anka was one of my parents' favorite. Tomorrow would have been my Mom's 83rd birthday and their 58th anniversary. Much ❤ to them and Mr. Anka.

I saw him sing this - just this way - in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. I believe it was the summer of 2010. I bawled the whole time. It was exquisitely moving. I think I really lost it during that incredible sax solo. I dream of experiencing Anka live again.

So nice to read your story, and your Dad and late Mom. I’ll be 86 in June, and I listen to Paul’s song 2-3 times weekly just to put me in a melancholy mood for the magic I need.

PA is the greatest. Seen him in concert 5 or 6 times. He gives everything he's got in every performance.

Frankly, Paul...and I am a singer...this is one of your best tunes, and YOU sing it better than anybody!!!! Would love to hear you sing this song with an orchestra backing you. Although, I love this very creative version so much. The lyrics are incredible, and it seems the emotions contained in the lyrics are felt by both men & women. This song, is yet, another testimony to your incredible talent. You are such a humble and gentle soul, and I hope that some day, some how, I will get to say hello in person. He is unique, as he puts emotion into every song he sings.

This was the absolute best version of this song, whether it's on stage or recorded. I don't know if he has ever song it again live on stage. But this will never be improved on. It just wouldn't be possible. This was a story sung like never before or ever could be again.
