Quinoa Curd Rice is a wholesome and nourishing substitute that brings a contemporary touch while preserving the taste and texture of classic curd rice. This recipe uses quinoa, which is high in protein and fibre, to create a filling and well-balanced dinner. It's simple to make and provides a palate-pleasing, light choice.
Ingredients | सामग्री:
Quinoa | क्विनोआ: ½ cup
Water | जल: 1cup + ½ cup
Salt | नमक: 1tsp
Oil | तेल: 2tsp
Mustard seed | राइ: 1tsp
Bengal Gram split | चना दाल: 1tsp
Black Gram Split | उड़द दाल: 1tsp
Cashew | काजू: 1.5 tbsp
Round Red Dried Chilly | गोल लाल सुखी मिर्च: 4 no small
Curry Leaves | करी पत्ता: 10-12 leaves
Asafoetida | हींग: 1/8tsp
Sugar | सक्कर: 1tsp
Curd | दही: 1.5cup
Method | विधि:
1) In a bowl take quinoa and wash thoroughly.
2) In a pressure cooker add washed quinoa, water and salt.
3) Cook for 2 whistles on a high flame.
4) Allow to cool down completely.
5) In a tadka pan add oil and allow to heat.
6) Add mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
7) Add Bengal gram and black gram and saute for 1 min on low flame.
8) Add cashew and saute for 30 sec.
9) Add red chilli, curry leaves and asafoetida and mix well.
10) Saute for 30 min and allow to cool.
11) In a big bowl add cooled cooked quinoa, curd, water and sugar; mix well.
12) Add prepared tadka and mix well.
13) Serve cold.
