Patty Loveless • Interview and Performance • 2023

Музыка

Celebrate Patty Loveless's induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame by watching this special interview and performance filmed as part of the Museum's "Live at the Hall" series.
During the program, Loveless performs "Blame It on Your Heart," "Don't Toss Us Away," "Too Many Memories," and "You Don't Even Know Who I Am," along with band members Jedd Hughes, Carmella Ramsey, and Deanie Richardson. Loveless also talks about growing up in Elkhorn City, Kentucky, and her early musical memories; how her brother and manager, Roger Ramey, helped her get a foot in the door in Nashville; working with her producer and husband, Emory Gordy Jr.; and how it felt winning Album of the Year at the 1995 Country Music Association Awards.
This program was presented in support of the exhibition "Patty Loveless: No Trouble with the Truth," open now at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

I seen Patty for the first time in Moline, IL., 1996. I was blown away when she sang Here I Am. I couldn’t believe how beautiful and powerful her voice was. Had never heard anything like it, still haven’t. Left an impression on me I still think about all these years later. Happy she made the Hall of Fame, way over due! Congrats Patty!

@mikerobertson197* l am in the same page as you Mike , regarding Patty Loveless. I am lrish myself, love our lrish singers. But l absolutey adored the late great( Waylon Jennings ).loved all of his songs. Just like l LOVE all of Pattys. She is still has such a unique style voice and the lyrics of her songs tells all .I absolutey LOVE great singers.l particularly loved the song she sang with Ricky Van Shelton, as Dolly Parton, had been away on tour, not sure, but it was Dollys ,brother Floyd Parton, that wrote the song. But Dolly not being able to be there that Pacific evening Thank godess, had asked Patty Loveless to sing it with Ricky, the two of them were absolutely fantastic and brilliant singing together. It still blows me away when I listen to them .(Through The Golden Years ).was the song .Mike .REGARDS ELIZABETH in SCOTLAND. 👍Enjoyed listening to Patty's interview on You Tube., found it very interesting and truthful, to think that they all grew up poor, Her mum @ dad scraped by with very little but they always seemed to manage to get buy l am so happy for Patty as l know in my heart that dhrveas being truthful to us all.Well done Patty. Ln my home you are a genius and a Legend beautiful lady. REGARDS ELIZABETH SCOTLAND ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

@@darrenbranham2383 Actually, at one time it was legally Lovelace (her former married name) - Loveless is her stage name. At age nineteen, Patty married Wilburn Brothers' drummer Terry Lovelace. The couple moved to Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and eventually formed a cover band, performing rock and pop hits in clubs across the eastern United States. Along the way, Patty altered her stage name from Lovelace to Loveless. So, either Loveless or Lovelace was right at points in time.

Patty Loveless deserves EVERY accolade that she gets. So talented and humble. She has more talent in her little finger than most singers that achieved popular success. Also, thank you SO much to this interviewer. Geez, he did his homework but, most of all, he let her talk. Granted, some of her answers were a bit rambling and I'm sure he had 1000 more questions, but he knew to just let this superstar TALK and flow with the conversation and not cut her off or ask a bunch of questions from a list made up by someone who has no real idea whom he is talking to. He did his homework and genuinely knew his stuff too and it showed.

I had some pictures made of myself several years ago and someone told me , " you look like Patty Loveless". He said, I can't believe I never realized that before. I've also been told I look like Loretta Lynn's twins, Patsy and Peggy Lynn too. I believe they are kin right? Anyway, I'm glad she was conducted into the country music hall of fame.
