Same here. I had to ask in the NCIS subreddit what this song was. It tied the scenes at the end of the episode together so well!

When I heard this tonight on NCIS it hit me between the eyes. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

Like so many others I discovered this song on NCIS tonight, July 10, 2024. It is a beautiful song with a beautiful voice singing it.

When I heard this song on NCIS I had to look for it. A song of deep emotion that hits deep inside the heart . Now everytime I hear this song I think of Ziva even though it a work of fiction you can feel the loss.

Absolutely superb - thanks to NCIS for using it or I would never had heard it !

I lost my husband barely 6 months ago. This song reminds me of my Robin. Sometimes I smile, sometimes I cry. I will never find anyone like him again. He will always be my heart and soul. I am so terribly sorry for your loss. It sounds like you and Robin had a beautiful love story. I lost my husband Tim to leukemia not quite four months ago. I miss him so much. He was my world. I had never heard this song until today. I had just been talking to Tim in my head when this song came on. He loved Patty Griffin’s music. Now I can’t stop listening to this song, it says so much and I kind of feel like he’s talking to me. Wishing you peace.

The first time that I heard this song was on an episode of "NCIS". The episode were Agent David is at her father's graveside. Perfect song for the situation. Thank you "NCIS" for always having amazing music on your shows.

I’ve owned this album for over 20 years and I’ve never once been able to listen to this song without crying. It’s so beautiful… but often I will skip it because I just can’t.

Watch NCIS all the time and there has been some really moving songs and this is no exception. Love this song so much want the album.

I found this on a television show called without a trace. I've been at musician and singer all my life and I've never heard this spectacular human being. it's a tv program, sweetie. it's very very very popular here in the US. (there's also NCIS LA and NCIS NO- los angeles and new orleans_these shows came later) original NCIS started in 2003-we are now starting season 18 and i haven't missed a single episode in 17 years.

Elizabeth I went a long time not getting close to anyone or letting anyone get close to me finally got used to being alone an along came this little teacup chiwawa I saved his life when he was first born an a year later he saved my life when my house was burning he was the best friend I ever had as sad as that sounds I thought we was untouchable until jaundice the teacup chiwawa killer got my little buddy :( sorry not trying to ruin your happy vibe just want ya to be careful cuz all the shit life has put me through losing that silly little dog one of the worst moments in my hole life

The loss of your dog doesn't negate any of the time you had together, rather makes it more cherished. IMHO If you knew what I go through every single day to just function not including all the things I survived just to respond to you, well let me say that I know how difficult living can be. I got my puppy after my dog died in y arms

Sorry, he died in my arms unexpectedly but I did eventually rescue another dog. Try the video of Mary Chapin Carpenter called 'Soul Companion' with James Taylor. I play guitar for solace, and both of these women prop me up (as do many other singers) when needed. Only you can find your way, although there are many ways to get support. That's how I still make it when life ts difficult. I know you can find the goodness during the bad parts of life. But I'm just a realist.

I see someone else is home watching NCIS on a Saturday morning. I feel the same way about the song, the lyrics and vocals are beautiful, and the guitar part is awesome. Nice stripped down, With an alternate tuning that gives it a haunting sound. It has a beautiful tone. I love Gibsons and Martin’s, and would have figured this is a vintage Gibson but I checked it out and she plays newer Gibsons. I’m sure she has it set up well. Beautiful job!
