Patton U2-20 vs TPI F-18-TE High Velocity Fans

Ғылым және технология

A comparison of the Patton U2-20 and the TPI F-18-TE high velocity fans. The Patton has a much better range in the speeds and seems to be a little more powerful on high, but the TPI's build quality is absolutely unsurpassed and is by far the best quality fan still made today. It's not clearly labeled as such, but the TPI appears to utilize a McMillian motor, as does the Patton.

good video bro I enjoyed the comparison and I'm so glad you believe the motor on the TPI is a McMillian that's what I was originally calling it when I first got mines now thanks to you I know that McMillian still make good motors today. I enjoyed the video

Nice comparison, the patons truly showed the test of time I wouldn’t doubt the TPI won’t ider, and yes the air queens are not being produced anymore which is ashame but what can you do I guess, and also I remember you have that Dayton blade from a while back why don’t you put it on the TPI and see how it works out it might quite it down a bit and I bet the Motor can handle it just fine, and if it does work out u should compare it to the air queen.

They are both really good quality fans that get the job done in each of their intended use cases. Since my house isn’t that big, and as cool as the TPI may be, I’d have to go with the Patton. It also makes much less noise, which means it won’t interfere with certain activities, such as conversations.

Is the TPI fan a good modern HV fan made today?

@@idkanymore2746 It is. It’s the best quality industrial floor fan on the market today. The only complaint I have with it however is that all speeds are really fast and that it doesn’t have that great a range of speeds. But then again, it was meant for an industrial environment, such as a warehouse or factory.

Impressive performance from both, but the patton definitely needs a servicing. I can hear the barrings so make sure to service it sometime soon if you are to use it.

I suspect the TPI motor is rated for 2.2 Amps maximum, but TPI designed the fan to use only 1.7 Amps to prolong the life of the motor.

The Pattons really were good metal fans, the McMillan motors were built to last.
