never took no shit from no one ... right from the start .... right from Horses ... she insisted on total creative control .. songs , sound , lyrics + album cover ... in the mid 70s no one did that ... esp not a working class gal from some farm in New Jersey ... mebbe she was used to working with Horses ! or just more myth making around the Living Legend that's Patti Smith
