No, that was Marianne Faithfull when she offered a copy of «The Master and Margarita» as a present to Mick Jagger in 1967. In an interview with the magazine «Mojo» in 2005, Faithfull said to interviewer Sylvie Simmons: «I got Mick to read ‘The Master and Margarita’ and out of that, after discussing it at length with me, he wrote that song». Faithfull was Mick Jagger’s girlfriend at that time.
