Patrick Watson | Part 4 (The Evening) | A Take Away Show In short, they didn't exactly understand what we expected of them, but they let us know that they were ready for anything. Watson, his grimacing angel-face and his three grandiose musicians, gave us music throughout an entire day, then an entire night.

Normally I don't compare Take Away Shows....But when I do....I have Patrick Watson at the top of my list!
i actually love the use of the megaphone in this. It really adds a haunting, dreamy dynamic to the entire song.

@Elizabeth Curren it has also become a comfort video of mine. It's one of those I wish I could stumble across on a night out on my own, it's perfect.
I don't have words to describe how beautiful Patrick sings💕
I like the poetic way in which the camera captures the scene.

It's honestly so beautiful and dream like, the way the crowd slowly gathers how he slowly pans into some of the musicians and Patrick, the older couple walking into the alley just hearing the music and the single camera flash at the end, I've come back to this video time and time again and I absolutely love the camera work
I love coming back to this take away show head over heels for Patrick Watson!

I heard this first, then listened to the album version and was... a litle let down hahah
A modern day Mozart whom to the world remains largely undiscovered.
Goosebumps.
I find this music so moving.... It makes me want to cry!!
Much inspiration for a student of music and art.
if it got any better than this ...... I'd just die ........of bliss !
incredible as always, mr. patrick watson.
this is so beautiful!!
I like the jazzy Eric Satie at the end...
same doorway at the beginning to the bon iver for emma video
I find it funny that Gnossienne 1 is being played by a Quebecer in Paris: Satie was born 100 miles from Paris, and died in Paris. Satie coined the term "furniture music" to label several of his compositions (not this piece, though many musicians since have applied his term to a larger selection of his work). Furniture music was essentially the early 1900's European version of ambient music. It's ironic that Satie's (ambient) piece is being played in a public bar and everyone is focused on it.
