When in doubt, put highlighter everywhere made me actually laugh out loud. 😂 Solid advice!

I have this pallet and I would recommend using it the way Patrick Ta recommends, putting the powder first and then the cream on top of it. Then you won’t get separation of the foundation.

Powder blush followed by cream blush worked great for me for this one.

I really struggled with little tiny micro glitter being everywhere, even in the blushes and not just the highlighter. I'm so happy you gave this such an honest review. I got really thrown off by a couple of rave reviews that I found misleading.

It’s the Tweed Effect all over again 🤣🤣🤣. I swear those Tweed palettes were so hyped everyone HAD to love them lmao. I really do love my Brun Et Rose but the rest of them were very blah. I think it’s the same phenomenon. Happy to see Morgan and Gaveluvsmakeup keeping it real!

I returned mine, too. Wasnt my vibe, too much glitter. I also returned the Tweed Chanel palette - blah and overhyped. Now I am excited about the Dior Khaki one!!! I am patiently waiting for it

A technique I cld recommend with the new TA palette, hold back a little of your foundation on your hand and put the cream shade on with a little of your foundation, for extra grab a spray of setting mist into the mix too. I watched back abd you definitely lost coverage on your skin especially the area around your laughter line on the left side of the screen, a mix with your liquid foundation ALSO mutes the colour out a little so if you are paler or not tanned this is a good way to take some of the pop out! Great video. I don't think we have a supplier in the UK he seems purely a USA brand. X

I am surprised you didn't apply these as PT recommends! Apply the powder, then the cream.

the only thing I could think of that could indicate a formula difference would be the names. all of his original formulas have “she’s ___” (except for “do we know her”) and all of these have “giving ___” which we have never seen before in his line. i find it odd though that he wouldn’t indicate that the formula is different! that’s just my take. love the honest review! ❤

I ordered this palette the day it launched & I have already returned it. I didn’t like it AT ALL which was super disappointing because last year’s is still one of my favorite cheek palettes to date!

I love this palette, if you want a glowy look, use the cream blush. If you want a matte finish, stick with the powder😊😊😊

Yes, I just saw a video of a youtuber who put cream blush first and then powder and I also noticed that took away a bit of the foundation.

I find that cream blushes ALWAYS lift my foundation. No matter what the method. Even if u just dab them on. If u build them enough, they will take away your foundation. Hence I always put down my powder blush first and only then dab a similar cream blush if I feel like. The powder blush helps set the foundation below it and keeps a barrier between the cream blush and foundation.

Im hoping these come out as singles and maybe I’ll pick up a shade. Lovely review as always 💕

I really like the color story of Patrick Ta's last blush palette a lot more than this new one. I really like my old Blush palette, I'll pass on this one. Nice review.

My new motto When In doubt put highlighter everywhere Love it and I do! I’m not picking this up. I’d pick up the #1 if it ever goes on sale…I will get that one. Or maybe just a single….someday. I have his 2nd eyeshadow palette and a lip gloss of his that’s it. I’m not overwhelmed with his stuff honestly.

Do these two blush shades compare in tone to the Dior rosy glow and coral glow blushes?

I powdered after cream the other day and silly-ly, used the Givenchy puff and the 'G' stuck into the cream and my brush couldn't spread it! I looked like I was branded by Givenchy for the day lol...Great review, this is relevant still 18/02/23

I was waiting for ur review..it is great..helps me made my decision…but for non-collector of makeup and I love powders and prefer them..any advise btw hour glass elephant palette or this patrick ta blush palette..which would u prefer…if u are not a youtuber and have to select only one palette.

I'm seeing lots of people have returned it. I can probably afford it this year and it's so pretty but I'm not taking the chance. We can't return used/open cosmetics in the UK.

I’m so torn… I had to return the diastrous Charlotte Tilbury cheek palette tonight at Sephora. I swatched the Patrick Ta and was SO tempted. My skin is really dry so sometimes I feel like creams that are problematic on everyone else still work for me, lol. They were out of stock of the NARS cheek palette but one of the national NARS employees was there, and she showed me a video of the NARS palette swatched on her arm. It was STUNNING! But not in stock, as I said, so I couldn’t compare to the Patrick Ta. I also considered the Hourglass Elephant palette but didn’t have time to swatch. I agree with someone else, you should totally do a roundup of all these cheek offerings! I am really confused and torn, and would love your final ranking. Love your videos, Morgan!

I wanted this palette but if the blushes feel different from last year I kinda don’t want now 😢

Ok. I used both palettes. One on each cheek. I used she’s a doll vs giving flirty. I used the Flower Beauty cheek brush and a denser sponge for the cream blush. I used my Neutrogena serum foundation and a pressed powder from Merle Norman. It didn’t pick up any foundation. Perhaps, I was lucky.

I found it patchy and didn't love the shimmer in both the powder and cream, returned😮‍💨

Doesn’t he recommend to do the powder first then cream? Is that why it picked up your foundation?

Yes he does, but I had the same problems with it moving my base too no matter which method I used. I used powder first then cream and it moved still 😢

This new palette has official instructions to use cream before powder - unlike his previous duos.

I returned mine. It is NOT the same at all.

I didn´t got last year´s because I´m really fair and I thought this one would work a lot beter, and the comments in their ig post are pure love and now I don´t know how I feel about it. It sometimes works better than others so I think it isn´t as consistent as it shoukld, I love the shades tho

They are made to use the powder first. Then the cream on top. I know it goes against everything we've ever been told to do, but that is how he formulated these to work.

Actually, the instructions on this new palette say to use cream first and then powder - opposite of all of his other blush duos. Must be a new formula.

@@PamelaH_HappyVibes I've seen a few, not many though. But those reviewers made it work for them. I own it too and i love it. Not dissing those who Don't like it, but not every product works for everyone or works with all bases. (Kateface) is one of them who made it look good.

Two of the pans fell out on me in this palette and I know quite a lot of people who have poorly glued palettes, and the blushes were not the same formula, super sheer, patchy and just not good.

I returned mine… the glitter in everything was just too much. I loved the shades, so if he’d ever rerelease these in the duos in the normal formula without so much glitter, I’d be willing to try them again.

I returned mine, way too glittery and I felt the blushes all looked kind of the same on me. I’ve loved last year’s, but this one just wasn’t it for me.

I have last years and I liked it better.

Every time you buy Patrick Ta it comes broken unless you buy it in person at Sephora. What’s up with that ?

I love last years palette. This doesn’t appeal to me so I’m skipping. I wish he would have done deeper fall tones since last year was so bright and summery. This one is giving spring/summer too which is weird to release in October

Thanks for saving me the money. It does not look like it would fit my skin tone like last years palette, which I love. I really wanted to try the highlighter, but Patrick Ta will prob break this palette up into individuals a little later like he did with last years blush palette, then I might get to try the highlighter. Crying shame. That cream foundation/setting powder he released last month was terrible as well.

Its too glittery for my liking.I feel like the packaging is poorly made.For a moment i thought it was an imitation.The pans are loose.I look like a disco ball.Mind you,i have tried applying it cream first before powder and also did the powder first and then cream but no.I cant get over how much micro glitters in it.However,i did try the tiktok trend lately where i mixed a lil concealer and the cream,its ok i guess but then you are left with a dug up pans!! Another off note..Chantecaille Holiday Collection is on pre-order..I ran to the website to fill my cart and realized the prices on this Lotus Holiday Collection is insane...98$ for the glow blur powder, 75$ blush, 75$ highlighter, and 50$ lipstick. Also, I'm not sure on the amount of product you get on the glow powder, blush and highlight but they look small..98$ for a glow blur powder? Smh..I'm going to watch reviews before I purchase.

I so glad I didn't get this. The "cream" shades look like vaseline with a slight tint. I wonder why he changed the formula, there was nothing wrong with the original one - a clear case of "don't try to fix what isn't broken"!! Sorry you spent so much money on this palette. The old palette was way better. I wish the new palette came with better blushes/No highlighter.

I don't like this palette, the highlighter is such a waste. Last years palette was so much nicer, i wish they had three blushes, like a plum blush or mauve blush rather than the highlighter

I just bought this palette for £27 and i feel thats about what its worth this year. you should try using the powder first to stop the foundation breaking up.
