I know people will think I'm crazy, but I actually think Sneed is a more important extension than Jones for the kind of defense Spags likes to play. They're backend ability to man up and shut guys down is was gives them the ability to send guys McDuffie unblocked. Jones would be a loss for sure, but if he wants Aaron Donald money, I think guys like Karlaftis and Danna can pick up the slack. Then of course theirs Felix who didn't play much this year. I just think lock-down corners in a league where passing offenses have taken over are guys you can't let go.

It's a hard decision because of how outstanding Jones is at his position and how great the Chiefs have been at drafting and developing defensive backs, but I agree with you. They've got some strong defensive linemen, but they often blitz with guys who play the other positions anyway.

He's the only one ever to win 4 Super Bowls, and he's grounded some pretty stellar offenses on the way to those titles. In his 5 years with the Chiefs, they've gone from the worst defense in the league to a top-2 unit mostly by drafting guys that work in his scheme.
