Mon Patrick adoré la première fois que je t'ai vu à la télé j avais 12 ans et je voulais me marier avec toi tellement je te trouvais sublime le temps a passé et un soir de Juillet 1992 tu chantais dans une boîte de nuit à Aix-en-Provence Tu as organisé une séance de dédicaces j ai attendu d être la dernière personne à demander un autographe pour passer 5 minutes avec toi. J étais éblouie et émerveillée j avais mon idole devant moi,! An awesome fucking disco that was. Must have cost a fortune to set up. I actually met one of the electricians and technicians who helped set it all up in 2019, saw some original pics that had been digitized obviously.

Dans ses mémoires Patrick Juvet raconte que son titre "I Love America" a été diffusé la première fois au Studio 54 de New York. C'était le test incontournable. Le public a très bien réagi et ce fut un tube. Je ne sais pas si "French Pillow Talk" a été joué au Studio 54. Je ne pense pas en revanche. L'album Lady Night dont est tiré "French Pillow Talk" a été un succès européen, pas américain.

Lots of comments about re-opening studio 54 why? The seventies were a different era and you would never be able to recreate that.

It would never work now. Smart phones and social media have killed of the bar and club scene, which was shit even before they came along. Most people now have no social skills, can't dance, have no creativity. The Studio 54 type clubs in places like USA and Australia died out by the early 90s. Even the clubs in the 88 to 91 period could not match 54 although some of them were very good. Studio 54 was way ahead of its time. The atmosphere, the music, the incredible lightning rig and set up, the celebrities, everything.

Hi a 15 yro here.. yea I agree I don’t think anything like this would be recreated at all even with today’s standards it would just become a regular club like most now. As much as I would love to experience this without the drugs a and shit, there’s no way it’s coming back if only for a miracle! It would be much better off as a museum for music and dance!

@@ActiveAussie2024 Yes I totally agree, New York was a dirty rotten place back in 77 full of crime , studio 54 by contrast added glitz and glamour but something more behind its facade, it was a decadent, drug fuelled, den of eniquity, so fabled that everyone wanted to be a part of it, the only way the world could ever experience that again would to invent a time machine. I would have loved to experience that for just one night.

The brilliant French DJ David Kust did a great remix of this song, I love it ❤

Don't know about lucky...it's highly likely that alot of the people you see on video caught HIV and subsequently passed away from AIDS. It looks like an amazing time, but was sadly very dangerous as well.

Well yes. But HIV came in the early 80'. So, before the HIV epidemic everything was fine and people had lots of fun at the Studio 54 and other discos. They felt free and had a hedonistic life style. Too bad HIV destroyed it all and so many people had to die. Even the disco music was banned in the USA by the white racists soon after that and gay people were treated like s**t by the conservative and "religious" Reagan supporters and by Reagan himself as well 🙄.
