Having a division winner from the previous year as 9th or 10 is a crazy take.

With so many teams cap strapped, nobody wants to be the clown to start an offer sheet war, because of stones and glass houses. People remember what happened when Montreal GM Bergevin got mocked and abused for his offer sheet against Carolina and the resulting retaliation.

Silov has more playoff experience than Demko including a shutout. Letting a guy with playoff ready poise go would most likely come back to bite.

Silovs overperformed a tad in the playoffs. Prior to that I was thinking he needed another year in the AHL before he was ready. He shouldn't be thinking he gets the bag at this point in his career. Take an entry level deal and prove your worth over a full season.

Silovs has some pull after stepping in during the playoffs.

@@tokki2490no it means they are trying to avoid going into LTIR so that they can accrue cap space over the season and take advantage at the deadline. Something they haven’t been able to do because of the pool man contract (and the other various cap mismanagement)

Agree on 3rd or less to move pullman contract. Only if organizational commitment to not moving 1st or 2nd this draft. 2011 cup contender era moved all those 1/2 picks. End up in prospect desert.

I don't get the Silovs fan club. Am I the only one that saw the flaws ? Did people not see how bad he was on shots from the point ?

With all do respect… this Patrick Johnson guy NEVER adds any actual substance to the show. Frank Seravelli might be a heel, but at least he brings something interesting or unique
