Patrick, you will ALWAYS be "Bobby Ewing", no matter what role you play...same goes for Victoria Principal. You two were THE couple, everyone loved. Me, being the hopeless romantic...every time I watched Dallas and saw a scene of Bobby and Pam together, I PRAYED it'll be a scene of reconciliation and restoration of their love...and then...YAY! 👏😃 🥰 it HAPPENED ! The night Bobby went to see Pam and asked her to marry him again...ogh MAGICAL ! Love conquers all ! ❤

I agree with you when I see dearest Bobby and Pamela my heart is broken that they not together. This good combination is too good, soft, true love romantic, no words to describe. So taching they together so beautiful both.Just craing I looking this episodes where they together ❤️. 😢😢😢😢😢

"After the divorce "says Patrick," I Thought , Boy Bobby will start dating like crazy ". The producers said no that I had to be good. But we were always sort of getting back together because the couple was firmly established in the minds of the audience that scriptwriters couldn't walk away from it". -------------- He says of VP who plays Pamela " I have never ever conversed with her off the set. But on set we have a great working relationship I think it's because we play such a lousy people" ---------------

Being paired with VP (whom Duffy calls "the upstage artist of the world" ) was difficult at first. "We were in constant competition... We were very territorial in front of the camera, and it was a strain" Their relationship improved during Dallas' third season when Duffy made his debut as director "I developed an appreciation for her and I think for the first time she started to trust me"

He is 100% correct about nobody could play the Patriarch and Matriarch but Jim Davis and Barbara Bel Geddes. Jim Davis couldn’t ever been replaced after his death because of what he brought to the role and the way the fans loved him. Same thing with Barbara Bel Geddes as Miss Ellie. When she left in 1984 for health reasons, the role was recast with Donna Reed and it didn’t work. The fans wanted Barbara back because nobody else could play her role.

thats what im here for, i didnt watch that soap opera nonsense that everyone else is talking about. mwa hah hah hah

One thing Duffy would like to change though is Bobby Ewing. He thinks his character needs a little spicing up. "when Pamela went nuts and was admitted to a mental hospital I thought the time had come for Bobby to run off the rail... Find a woman who's got some action. But he continues as before. There I was trekking off to the hospital everyday with flowers and a sympathetic expression when I really feel like giving her a good slap". Patrick says the producers want to keep Bobby a "Polly Pureheart" who could never abandon his wife. The viewers would just never accept him going off with another woman. Duffy point out: "it's a pity, but I'm stuck with boring Bobby"

Funny early on he mentions all the cast by name apart from Victoria. Sad!

Because she wasn't at the reading for that. She came in as a solo to read the part of Pam. He said, when he saw all the ladies who read the script for Pam. The moment she walked in, he immediately wanted her to be chosen as Pam.
