@@phanatic215 Agreed, but I would actually go one further and say Rambo 4 was actually a little bit more than entertaining action movie. It's so horrifically violent that, I dunno, it touches something primal in you. And the violence is contextually accurate, too - that kind of shit is going on right now in Burma and places like it. I'm not saying the movie is a piece of high-brow artsy cinema, but I think having such realistic, brutal violence in a movie set in a place where that exact kind of violence is taking place at the time the movie was made does 'elevate' it somewhat.
This is one of those cases where Opie's amazing ability to have never seen the movie everybody's riffing on ended up contributing to the bit.

When Rocky first came out, Sly Stallone was tipped for the Best Actor Oscar, and he was being touted as 'the new Marlon Brando'. They thought he was just a great character actor, rather than a guy who had half his face paralysed at birth.

The Rambo 2008 breakdown is beyond funny
I think that Arnold’s movies have aged better because he worked with great directors like Cameron, McTiernan, Reitman, Verhoeven, etc. Stallone either directed most of his movies himself or hired puppet directors like George Cosmatos and Albert Magnoli who allowed Sly to micromanage the movies.
I wish Stallone had a slightly bigger effects budget on Rambo, there's a few scenes where it looks super cheap with the effects. But it was still a pretty good movie overall.
