This sounds like Tonglen. I used to read a lot by Pema Chödrön and she used this technique. Different kind of a deck.

This would be a great deck for dealing with personal and interpersonal challenges. It's like going to a sage for guidance and understanding. I also love the fact each card tells part of the person's journey to understanding and wisdom.
