Sohei for an offensive monk is the best by far. Honestly, being able to use flurry of blows with actually good weapon types AND getting weapon training on top that would make this the most powerful offensive monk on its own. Add in a full animal companion with spirited charge whilst being able to skip the crappy mounted combat feat, and you have a vastly superior monk. Scaled fist is a useful dip, and sensei fills an obviously different role, but if you want to play your monk as a warrior, sohei leaves all the other archetypes trailing in the dirt. Plus, you can make an animal companion really tanky and not have to worry about your monk AC at all.

The Acolyte background will let you use Wisdom instead of Charisma for Persuade checks, so that's an alternative to Scaled Fists if you want a leader type Monk.

Traditional monk has high will saves. Its very unlikely to be worth the restrictions on ki powers, but its +6 will by level 20. And ki powers honestly arent great.

Trad monk’s value is probably in dipping. 3 good saves, Wis to AC, and evasion all come online pretty quickly.

Zen archer is a pretty good 4 level dip for divine hound, because its benefits are pretty frontloaded. However, as a pure class, it will really fall off compared to a fighter, ranger or slayer.

Traditional monk gets high Will Saves (not Low like the types). The pre-selected Ki powers are okay but you still lose 3 Ki powers. I can't say whether the extra Will Saves are worth it or not.

Ahhhh so that's the trade off. Yeah idk when you're already a wisdom based class.

Just wanted to throw out there that amulets of mighty fists are available pretty early, so you will be able to add enhancement bonuses to your unarmed attacks. Also, are you 100% sure that the weapons get the damage bonus for a normal monk? I haven't ever thought to check but I was under the impression that they stay the same damage and only your unarmed attacks grew stronger. Edit: Shay-shin? Sir that is pronounced Shy-tan

Sorry, in English "tian" makes the shhh sound. Also I think they do? I had monk with nunchaku that scaled in dmg in Kingmaker.
