As an Azata Bard, I literally have no more room for abilities/spells on my hotkey bars--and I'm only Level 11. It's absolutely stupefying how much one bard can do, and the synergy with that Mythic Path makes you a literal Lord of Song as you can (somehow) play two songs at once. I love it.

I have to say, the perception of a Bard as a "support class" is as misguided as using a Cleric for in-combat healing. Bards in 3.5 and Pathfinder are phenomenally versatile and can be easily built for a large variety of roles. In videogames especially they are very good, being a Charisma-based skill-heavy class (dialogue skillchecks yo). A Bard can easily hold his own as a gish, as a dedicated Enchanter spellcaster, or a secondary rogue. Looking forward to the next video! Bloodrager is a weird one.

Great video. I wonder if Dirge's spells affect friendly undead like they do hostile ones. A bardic lich with his buffed, vibing army of groovy undead would be a sight to behold.

The thunder caller is pretty good, bards get 40+ rounds of performance at level 20 so the thunder caller can use thunder call which would deal 9d8 40+ times per day AND he can use his performance while doing so, so he pretty much won't need weapons especially if you get extra performance feats.

To add, Bard with at least one Sneak attack die, will be able to pick up rogue talents. So Trickster+Bard, or Bard+1lvl Vivisectionist, or Bard+Slayer will be able to pick rouge talents, Archeologist will be able to pick also all advanced rogue talents.

The Beast Tamer looks great, one of my builds in Kingmaker was a summoning cleric which was awesome but the beast tamer looks better, especially with the mythic boosts. Character generation is going to take me forever deciding….

Kinda just stumbled into making a teammate a beast tamer bard. The summons are crazy in terms of action economy

My first team will be MC (Paladin), Seelah (Warpriest), Lann (Inquisitor), Sosiel (Cleric) and Ember (Witch). But then, I was wondering : man, you lack at least 1 arcane caster, a rogue-like character to disarm traps, a lot of your buffs are redundant... and then, I found the Dirge Bard. Good buffs, rogue-like, arcane caster, very good controler with a focus on enchantment, illusion and necromancy ? Also can summon non-evil undeads ? Ok, I hire you as soon as possible.

I don't really like Bards in D&D 3,5 or Pathfinder but they are great in D&D 5 :P In Pathfinder Kingmaker in Beneath the Stolen Lands DLC as standalone roguelike mode a Human Archeologist Mercenary with 14 INT is just a great skillmonkey as he can max out 6 skills: Trickery, Perception, Lore Nature, Lore Religion, Knowledge Arcana, Knowledge World and also have +10 to them all on top of that. Having him means I can create my main hero and rest of the party to be pure damage :)

So does the Beast Tamer's Inspire Ferocity *only* work on summoned creatures and pets, or is the tooltip just phrased confusingly?

Undead are normally a problem for bards, so dirge bard looks very interesting

Only the Dirge Bard; via performance. And, tadaa: As a swift action ;) They normally get the weak Summon Ally,; and too late to be any useful. In general, they focus on Enchantment ( their main school) and Illusion, while their other offensive spell capacities tend to fall off significantly. After all, their main jobs are to enlighten their friends, and to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies. :P

I was wondering if you were more of a fan, then, of DnD’s bards? I don’t much care for these subtypes but I personally really like some of the schools bards in DnD get. It makes them feel like far more than a musician.

I want to have a bard companion in my team in WotR, but none of the companions in the game are bards so I think I'll respec one of them. Suggestions for good candidates?

U can do a bard with seelah as a martyr ? A paladin-type bard who is less buff-oriented with his spells but is more melee.

Ok weird question. I never (ever) playd bard in pathfinder pnp or kingmaker (Linzie sucks). Can you use your normal action (atack in melee etc) while performing?

it uses up a normal action to start performing but not to maintain it. bards get abilities that let them start performing as a move action or swift action as they level up
