Whenever I consider reinstalling D2, one of the first things I picture is the never ending opening and closing of menus to check my challenges and bounties and to find out which gun I forgot in my vault. So this moves the needle a little bit.

@djwhyteryce3368 Thanks, I've used DIM and the official app. They help, but for me anyway, if a game basically requires an app to alleviate the simple act of navigating menus and managing items, then the game is bloated and unwieldy, and I'm just less likely to play it. If FS looks good like two weeks after launch maybe I'll pick it up.

It's Warframe Nightwave but instead of one system, Destiny has a paid season pass AND Guardian Ranks AND seasonal challenges AND this on top. Because when your goal is to "reduce menus to visit," a logical solution is "add a new system and give players more menus to visit." Even when they copy other games' papers, they still can't do it right.

Pathfinder (at the end tiers) sounds like what many hated about quests in D1. For example, being forced to do Crucible or Gambit for a PvE related reward.

Facts. Bounties give you agency and choice on how you earn your xp and bright dust now we’re forced to do the handful of curated ones Bungie decides. More options are always better for players and taking choice out of players hands are bad which is why they originally brought bounties back after taking them away previously. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game developer so intent on forcing people to play a game how they want vs how a player likes to play the game that was laid out in front of them. 🤷

I've been saying they should add an Artifice slot to exotics since I started playing again, really glad they're finally doing it.

I've even been saying it since before they changed the artifact and artifact mods, though I felt it was pretty unlikely, until they changed the Artifice armor slot to a stat bump. A little annoying that it takes an exotic cipher to add it, but tbh I'd rather them allow us to do that with ALL armors because having to grind out rotating dungeons to get artifice armor is mind numbing. Maybe add Artifice cores or something.

Gambit's okay but I loathe pvp. I used to be really good at it too, then idk what happened, my guess is cheating cause I went from 1st place every game to getting rekt since 2017 lol. Every once in a while I do place first but it's not frequent like it used to be. I think a lot of it has to do with two things, possible cheaters (people lie and say there aren't cheaters; lulz) and the other one is I don't do Trials for that very reason, and so I don't have any of the trials weapons which are considered the best pvp weapons (for obvious reasons), but it's still not worth it to me, so I avoid Trials and regular pvp as much as possible.

When they introduced getting the pursuit weapons through strikes, gambit, or crucible I thought we were actually going to start moving in a direction where people could just stay in the lanes they wanted and get away from most of the forced interactions in this game but sadly it only went as far as pursuit weapons.

Idk about this When we had 200bd for weekly bounties we could make 1,200k bd on one character and 3,600k bd on all 3 Ever since removing that we get I think 360 per character and 1,080? on all This is like 60% reduction in how much bright dust we get and their excuse was you’ll get more cuz we’re adding more to season pass but A you get even more if you paid for the pass while bounties were free And B they literally could have kept the system AND added more bright dust to the pass So no it’s a net nerf they don’t care about how much bd we have

They need to retroactively allow you to unlock all weapons as you go and get rid of the post master

My biggest problem with the pathfinder system is the same with bounties: their expiration dates. If I start a week on Monday then technically any progress made would be moot unless I grinded a weeks worth of pathfinder in one day, which I wouldn't be interested in trying. I would prefer the pathfinder to just never reset and just reset the diminishing returns part every week.

Yeah, in between all the crowing people are doing about this, did I miss where they discussed the ability to catch up on this? I realize it seems like just a weekly reward system, ya know, because the season pass track, Guardian Ranks (lol), seasonal challenges, etc., weren't enough to stack on top of each other. It just seems like they could've further streamlined this by instead of making a separate system, just adding this type of feature either to Guardian Ranks (lol) or the season pass to make THOSE more interesting. Like, one of their STATED goals was "reduce the amount of menus to visit," but between the season pass, Guardian Ranks (lol) and Pathfinder, they're really only REDUCING the amount of bounties players need to take. As far as I can see, they're not getting rid of bounties, bounties still exist, they're just sitting alongside the season pass, Guardian Ranks (lol), and seasonal challenges. Doesn't really seem like that goal of reducing menu visits is being cut into all that much.

Sunbracers nerf is not really gonna change anything with add clear since the adds already died before the duration was up and 5 nades was overkill anyway considering you can reproc it so fast with heat rises melee energy return. The main thing the nerf targets is single target dmg situations like brigs, kalli, etc

So i have to do the rituals for gambit and crucible when i dont want to play those modes.

I just want to say. I started this video at like 5k views. In 20mins another 11k views roll in. Idk much about KZread metrics but that seems kind of impressive.

I’ve been playing destiny since it first released and ima be honest I’ve never done the loop of first grabbing bounty’s😂 yes it takes me a lot longer to unlock the artifact perks and I usually end the season at plus 20 power but I try to remove the monotony from my video games😂

I'm a Warlock main, so typically I would beat the campaign on my hunter, grind out weeklies, then rinse and repeat with my Titan, finishing off with my Warlock so that they had the highest gear and I would be raid ready. Do you think this Pathfinder system will remove the need for me to take that approach? Was that the intent? Or do you think the old way will still be the best way?

I have yet to get but 1 shiny weapon that is worth anything. I think I deleted 4 or 5 last night. I have basically played almost nothing but onslaught and I am still hunting the exact rolls I want but have gotten some it will do rolls on everything.

I like Pathfinder, means you'll always have something to do.

Will pathfinder objectives be proactive / retroactive? Ex: I’m on node 1 of my path and node 3 objective states to do gambit mote dunks, if I do this while working on node 1, will node 3 also complete when I get to node 3?

If I'm understanding correctly, all the objectives on a Pathfinder chart are active at the same time. You just need to claim certain ones in a full branch before reaching the end once they're complete. They don't have to be done in order, just claimed in order. I think that's how it goes.

we tried 6 stacy titans and couldnt do the cheese. we possibly were doing it wrong but the dpa was not there

I was kind of hoping with all these news changes, they would of made it possible for sessional exclusive items like armor, be reclaimable if u happen to miss the chance to grab it. It sucks not being able to grab things u technically payed for

In terms of the redacted exotic in the pathfinder system, I wonder if the redacted will be filled with the activity the pathfinder is for (such as crucible, gambit, etc.). What I mean by this is that there might be new exotic armor and weapons for those activities and locations. It's highly unlikely, but I think it could be cool for there to be exotics that excel in gambit per say.

pathfinder just looks like all the ritual activities consolidated into one UI instead of spread over different vendors, so rewards will likely be the same also, ie ascendant shard then exotic engrams?

Bungie has addressed so many of my quality of life complaints since lightfall launched. Before they end support for d2...id like full transmog for exotic armor so i can achive elite fashion.

Its been a while since Destiny felt like there was a reason to play. Not only does Pathfinder fix the stale "why am i doing this" issue. It also just gives passive reward for playing the game. Incredible system. Promotions incoming.
