I'm pleased he mentioned this was Newcastle's second string. Krafth hasn't played for over a year. Ritchie and Dummett have played once each in the last year. Hall and Livrimento have started a game each. Targett rarely plays and started in midfield. Gordon playing centre-forward for the first time. Longstaff captain! 😁 Dummett has been at the club for twelve years and the two games he's played this season are the best he's ever been.

Big fan of Ritchie and sad to see he's moved down the pecking order but still has a good game in him. Kraft was just starting to come good when he got injured but came back with a solid display. Dummy who has been plagued with injuries came back in and had a good game. All these players play with a passion and that was the difference tonight.

It's disappointing to see how the coach and the players disrespected Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) when he voiced similar concerns. Now, everyone is finally seeing the truth. It's a chaotic situation. One cannot cling to the past and make excuses instead of progressing. It's about time to employ common sense. There's a lack of a coherent system, playing style, and the players are mediocre. Bringing Mourinho back or even considering someone like Simeone could restore some dignity to the club, especially if new financial investments come through.

Incorrect, we are still a big club. Would a Brighton or a Brentford (2 very good sides) get this much media attention if they were going through a period of poor form? Of course not. I do agree that our performances on the pitch aren't worthy of Big 6 status, at least not at the moment.

I think this is overblown. Ten Hag is the man for the job, no doubt about it. The Glazers should give him and Antony an extension on their contracts to show their support that they can turn it around.

I believe all the poor management aside, eras do come to an end, and sides do drop a few levels when a legendary manager departs, City will also drop a notch or two when Guardiola leaves and so will Liverpool, but the reason they will not hit the bottoms we have over the past decade is because they have a better structure at the management level and Owners with a proper vision for the club. Yes the football on the pitch is not the owners fault, agreed, but the fact that these players are still playing at the club despite consistent failures, demonstrates a lack of standards at the club, many of these players are substandard and we are unable to get rid of them because of their inflated wages. It will be a painful and slow rebuild under Sir Jim Ratcliffe however, atleast we will have a vision now.
