An in-depth tutorial on the new data-driven animation possibilities would be great. Something showing start to finish from an Excel file, through JSON converter and then how to access/use the data in AE.

So great thankyou! Helped massively on my current project, attaching many moving greebles to a moving path! Slider: Alternatively you can also ctrl+click on the slider and change the range to 0 to 1. I'd love to know where I'm going wrong when it offsets the child shape layer. Probably a toComp expression would help but to quickly be able to offset when this happens, I add +value; to the end

Thank you very much for an helpful video. Do you have any idea - how can I link objects along a path so that they orient along its curves& So that the once-utwards part of an object remains outwards? So that a N-S axes of an object remain perpendicaular to the path? Also it is like auto-orirnting along the path of a moving object, applied to meny objects that are along the path? Mikey, - I failed to find how to do that and would be very gratefull if you'd tell me..

Hi there, great tutorial by the way. I am trying to do the last example, nulls moving the points of a path, but in reverse, and with a shape rather than a path. Is this possible? I want to attach nulls to the corners of a rectangle that I have resizing to fit a textbox.

What If I want to connect Path point of one shape object to Position property of another shape object in the same Shape Layer? Another words, make everything you describe, but in one layer.

I don't have this update yet. Just updated and it says I'm still on Version 14.0.0.207. Is it available to everyone. My CC says I'm running the current version, but definitely don't have this feature.

Yeah, tried that... and signing out then signing back in. I'm thinking maybe I need to update iOS or something.

I placed Triangle instead of circle for pointOnpath function and it results flip at the end when i give Orient to path.....just before the slider ends its work fine, but at the last few frames its happening Kindly do help me@

Aaaaaaaaaand what about changing already existing path-points?

createPath(points = [[0,0], [100,0], [100,100], [0,100]], inTangents = [], outTangents = [], is_closed = true) this will make strate lines square, but how can we make curves with these points; bezier shape??? thx
