I think this league is a little bit of an anomaly, because mf is so profitable, the base items are dirt cheap but the moment you go for items that are not found in maps, the prices go to the moon. Like a power charge synth ring is now 400+ div. That said it looks like a job done nicely for 1 div

pretty good but the league is fucked , like void battery+badge+ralakesh isnt a one divine budget build two things i'd like to mention tho: if you craft a shaper helm to 6L your arc there instead you can slot out gems from your chest and jump up from 5300 ES to 7300ES and in a league with normal prices tulfall is better than void battery (if you swap lightning pen for trinity tulfall actually outdamages void battery on your PoB and you get freezes on top )

Ralakesh boots were 3 divine all through week 1 in sc trade. Graven isnt expensive but isnt super available during that timeframe so could easily spike. Void batteries are always somewhat expensive early but fall quickly just like cold iron points. And weve seen leagues in the past where badge was 20+ exalt. It's a good setup for sure but I'd never league start something depending on this gear and after the prices fall you likely have access to other things like heist rolled drops, rog crafts and fractured + essence crafts which are better. Boots are dope tho and really the only gear piece doing something unique here.

Great build and video Ziggy, can't wait to see the upgraded version of this build. I've got plenty of currency to dump into a character and been really wanting to try out the new transfigured arc gem. Can't wait for the follow up! Very impressive results with such a low budget and appreciate you sharing this build with us.

Thanks for adding how the build actually works rather than just gearing and which skillgems.

I love this not because I can only spend 1 div, but with a restriction like that you really get to see certain mechanics shine. There are so many lower tier uniques that are good but not necessary for high budget builds, I would love to see more of them

Would be really interesting to see a div by div upgrade of this build (or any other really) to see how far you could take the improvements before there's no options within a single divine. Feels like theres so many 1 div builds with little info on how to affordably make improvements down the line and could be helpful to a lot of players.

better rares, better rolled uniques (maybe with nice corruptions), jewels, and awakened/corrupted skill gems are usually all you're changing until you can afford bigger item upgrades that you'll see in the 100+ div versions. some of those more expensive upgrades will come with down sides which means your other gear will need matching upgrades if you haven't been planning your previous upgrades around them. instead of spending 10-20c on your rare items, spend a whole divine. spend money on your flasks so they give greater effects AND are more reliable.

This comment might have come off as me asking for advice on upgrading the build, that wasn't my intention. I was suggesting this as a potentially interesting content format to help new or casual players learn the process of build upgrading in a way I hadn't seen approached by many content creators, most other guides on the subject are quite abstract from the builds people are playing so making it a form of build guide too would, at least to me, make the correlation of currency to useful item stats somewhat more intuitive. could be made even more educational for those players by also proposing alternatives that can be achieved with time investment rather than currency, such as suggesting to run lab for gem quality and incursion to try get gem and item corruptions for themselves.

A combo that is super nice (but not in budget hehe) is a Militant Faith jewel with Dominus as templar. It gives inner conviction which gives 3% more spell damage per power charge and you cannot gain frenzy charges.. downside which you bypass with ralakesh's!

Have you thought about swapping to Arc of Oscillating for better map clears? I'm running basically the same build and I'm not bossing fast at all but no real issues outside of the random one shots. Going to pick up surging to swap in for bosses.

how to level - what order do you pick the ascendancy nodes? maybe some other build is close enough and goes deeper into leveling? thank you!

Probably at some point, charge stacking is looking a bit too "defacto way to go" for hit spells at the moment (not to say other setups like mana stacking aren't viable though).

You can also go Penance brand of Dissipation with two call of the brotherhood and phys conv gloves With an occultist and this setup, u can easily get a squishy but fast boss killer (did all uber with less than 5d invested)

usable on a lot of ascendancies if you want something tankier like trickster is a good option, or pathfinder if you go flask uptime + lightning coil with taste of hate etc. Ocultist is by far highest dps though

I tried the build, it was great during acts. At maps it starts to get tricky with the low ES and mitigation. Anything over t13 with extra mods is a one shot fiesta :D PoB: fyk6zQB5rjTk Upgrades are pretty costly when it comes to energy shield, now I know why I never played CI before XD It still feels meh vs strong rares, but since I'm lvl 80s yet, maybe it'll get better with time. Anyway the way you explain things is amazing. It would be nice to have one safe and cheap build for each class to league start and all. :)

Just for all the people intending to try this on league start: price will be WAY HIGHER. The boots alone went about 4-5 divine the first days. You can totally do this two-three weeks into the league, but as a starter you will NOT get this gear this cheap.

Yeah for sure, generally speaking you want your league starter to not really have many or any rarer uniques needed - though almost anything can be adapted to work without until you can get them.

Ralakesh was only 40c at this point last league, void battery 20c, badge of brotherhood a bit more at 50-60c, graven's 5c and so on. You can see all this historical pricing info on PoEninja. It is a bit cheaper than usual this league for sure but it's really not that crazy. Best thing really is just oath of maji making capping res easier. @@voidroad

Ralakesh was 2 div mast league when a use case for it was popularized (decharge exploit). Those boots are rare. And many builds use the new boots. They will be 2-5 divs next league if magic finder is not abused like it is today.

Did you craft your gloves? I'm looking at POE trade and nothing in that ballpark shows up for anything below 2 div

While Arc of Oscillating does not abuse Hydrosphere like Arc of Surging does, it does scale very well with pack density and its single target damage is not bad at all as it enjoys a much higher base damage than Oscillating. If you can get a Vaal Arc of Oscillating, it will literally clear multiple screens of packs. I recommend giving it a try.

Hi ZiggyD, thanks for your excellent work thru the years, I'm following U since the Tornado-ass build...even tough i quit POE for a few years. I m trying this build now and having a blast till now (LVL 50 in act 6) . for sure i miss something since i m having survaivability issues now. I have equipped all levelling unique gear you reccomand in POB notes (and Oath of maji allocated). What am I doing wrong ? Do i keep the levelling gear up to lvl 70ish?res are capped but chaos, also having mana issues using Shavronne Reveletion Ring. any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hey Ziggy! Whats the rotation for this? My numbers are inconsistent and if a rare has hp regen etc, They just heal back up taking me forever. For trash, I'm guess I just use naked Arc Surge, then for single target bosses, Hydro? I've spent a good few divines here but I think I'm missing something. My lightning arrow ranger was clearing maps so fast, but was a terrible bosser and squishy. Wanted this to be a happy medium.

For anything that is a bit tougher start with hrdosphere place, then swoosh it over them then arc the hydro. Once it's been placed you just keep swoosing it around to curse and debuff and shotgun from it. For anything really tough you use your extra curses. Assassin's mark with the mark mastery passive disables regen.

Im interesting in trying this myself, just finished off my splitting steel champ but i dont enjoy it. Im a trickster guy at heart. I look forward to seeing where you go from here with this. I have the currency to invest too.

you can also use willclash, golden mask with tempest shield to get max spell block and immune to shock to keep the damage per charge mastery and gain increased elemental damage per power charge

Two mana nodes and the mastery for reduced costs. Unleash is really cheap on mana so it's usually only a problem from curse triggers on the brand, I find only if I put 2 brands down at once. Try to stick to one brand out or see if you can get some further.mana cost reduction.

what to do about stunlock, I have 2.6k es and 675 life at level 58, still haven't really specked into ES keystones

careful with Arc of Surging, from what i heard the shotgun effect when there's only one target for the bolts to bounce off to is unintended and could get fixed.

It's been like that since league start, it won't get "fixed" cause that will be a direct nerf to many people who already made builds around it because GGG didn't nerf it yet, unlike the DD nerf that hit literally next day after discovering it.

I'll also add I don't think it's unintended either (though maybe they forgot about hydrosphere) - I think this because unlike the other Arcs this one doesnt have any "damage per remaining chain" to give it single target scaling - the mechanic was intended to be the single target solution (with the downside of it being multihit so no ignite potential).

@@ZiggyDGaming I would have to disagree there, if you look at the numbers on both Arc transfigured gems, Surging's damage and added damage effectiveness is multiple times more than Oscillating, if it's also shotguns for single target, I don't see why anyone would use Oscillating over Surging in any scenario, just my 2 cents.

@@ZiggyDGaming They purposely changed the way hydrosphere works so that kind of chaining can’t work, which is how people abused it before. Also even the wiki about chaining interactions states they should never bounce between the same two targets more than once, unless going through a third and cycling like that. It would definitely seem like a bug to me if that is still happening for this skill.

usable jewel goes for upwards of 1div. Im sure if you spent a lot of time wooping it youd be able to snipe one like 50c but most usable legion jewels are 1div+. Legion farmers just chuck them into dump 1 div or higher dump tabs. So for the contraint of 1 div, gaining like 30% more dmg for your entire budget doesn't seem very practical.

I am using this power charge stacking now with my hierophant and mana stacking. Because I thought: Why not stack both?

power charge stacking is just insane right now. Any build that can use it (basically just need a unique shield and boots) will find that it is always optimal to do so. And it brings so many OP interactions with badge of the brotherhood or anathema ring to further enhance those builds. But even just the boots and shield is so much free power. Ive been actively trying to avoid that combo as much as possible because it really limits build creativity, but every single time it finds its way back onto my characters. Have been trying to find a way to go CI with full phys to ele damage taken conversion, while still having 10m+ bossing dps, to abuse graven to its full potential. If this setup were reasonable, any hit that cant kill you in 3 seconds, cant ever kill you. Your recover more damage than you take. Still die to DoT though

Speedy one first. Then evasion / energy shield gearing node. Then energy shield leech and finally the damage per mastery. That's the route I took. 👍

Why go Trickster over assassin?

There are other power scaling option for (a lot) more than 1d. Millitant faith with dominus keystone, Crit multi charm (plus evasion per frenzy if possible) a synth power ring with kalandra ring (crazy budget) warlord helm with +1 power (can awaken with hunter lightning dmg)

Definitely outside of this budget scope though militant faith probably is pretty accessible as an early upgrade path. These are all big add ons for sure! Curse on hit tinctures on wanders is another interesting option I saw Jungroan using for a charge stacking wander.

My power charges become absorption charges and I have no damage how can i fix this?

I league start with power charge stacking arc assassin every league. No unleash nonsense. Void batteries, an impuslas, a decently rolled inward eye helm, mark of the shaper ring and a rare elder ring and the rest are whatever you want. Min max to 15 mil damage, im almost level 100 solo playing t16 dunes, its always an easy success

you should try tulfall , since the buff it outdamages void battery on charge stacker , even on ziggy's pob right there if you swap void battery for tulfall he gains 10% more damage ( swap lightning pen for trinity ofc) and freezes

Doeqsn't compete at all. Requires positioning and waiting for chains. When I swapped to PB from arc I remembered how weak arc is as a skill. Not to mention brand has infinite clear. You won't see a single arc build under 200div that's clearing legion, brach or abyss quickly. Arc is just a wait for chains build.

I tried both on this exact same setup (swapping to appropriate gems and brand nodes of course). Penance was easier, and it's what I'd go for hardcore bossing but single target was worse at this budget. As long as you're happy to learn to position hydrosphere and use unleash it's really strong, I prefer it. This said, penance brand is insane long term - it's certainly not a wrong choice.

Any recommendations to get around mana issues early on?

I used the unlinked Vaal arc to blow up weak packs and gain the arc damage is lucky buff which works across versions. It's just a budget setup, later you use a combined Vaal arc of surging or just a 21/20 arc of surging

How about changing "Powercharge on crit" with "Chain support" to get two additional beams?

Any hit damage spell will work though if course they'll vary in effectiveness and you'll need to consider support gems and passive alterations to suit.

Perhaps I should make a guide showing that sort of thing for people who arent quite familiar yet. - Essence nodes on atlas passive tree = run white maps and pick up essences, and sell them a few at a time (or in bulk all at once). They sell really well even weeks into a league. - Delve = get some suplhite in some maps and run your current level delves hitting currency nodes, fossils and any "contains fire/cold/minion/chaos/etc items" jewellery with curse on hit are worth a lot. Sell fossils and resonators in bundles for a bunch of currency really quickly. - Heist = you pretty much just pick currency up while you progress the rogues, then later farm chase heist item types. If you're brand new you may have to look into these things a little more, I'll ponder a guide to entry level currency making possibly.

Just do your atlas map after the campaign while also getting essence skill points. By doing that you will quickly and mindlessly get a divine pretty easily. Dont worry too much

not to knock off the idea of the build/video but arc of surging is just not intended to have 50 bounces off hydrosphere and I'd wager to guess penance brand of dissipation is going to get a hefty nerf next league too so I would have personally have liked more if this was done on another skill

At level 32 you're not playing this build yet, you're just leveling an arc character. Anathema and power charge stacking is required for the multi curse. Single target damage comes when you get hydrosphere to split off of. Kill bandits always in modern PoE.

Power charge stacking in general is pretty cracked this league. Especially because the league mechanic has depressed the price of uniques so much. I feel like the boots alone are a 5+ div unique in a normal league, but at 20c even a good corruption is cheap

It's fine and cheap to use corrupted, I did! Except for chest unless it's already 6linked. Bench linking corrupted 4 socket items is pretty cheap too.

For AoE clear, chill and shattering and to have enough unreserved mana before we can afford an enlighten. With enlighten we should be able to swap to zealotry instead (and can get cold damage somewhere else like a helm implicit).

thats a fake 1 div budget. the prices are fucked , ralakesh , badge and void battery are all high end items that usually cost each more than one divine

I was curious so I looked up this time last league for price comparison - they are a bit cheaper but actually not by that much: Ralakesh was only 40c at this point last league, void battery 20c, badge of brotherhood a bit more at 50-60c, graven's 5c and so on. You can see all this historical pricing info on PoEninja.@@voidroad

I wouldn't say no tricks involved, making a build heavily based on uniques in this league is a budget trick in itself. The prices have hit absolute rock bottom for nearly all the previously expensive uniques. Which is great if you want to build fairly strong builds on a budget.

Far tankier and still tons of dps to delete ubers. I think trickster is way more comfortable overall and cheaper to build too.

arc alone is 3 divs :(, also surprised u didnt try to shove some way to get endurance charges mechanics for defense

You should roll a dice to pick the skill. You picked such an easy skill for 1div. Most items are cheap.

Bc it's a trash build that excels at nothing. Weak clear speed ( show me ANY arc build clearing legion or breach, I'll wait) and your boss dps is you just waiting for chains to build up. Penance Brand of Dissipation uses a similar tree +gear and it scales 10x better. Not to mention the skill has 100% uptime and doesn't require and positioning to work.
