IPR - Intellectual property rights. rights - Inventions, literary and artistic work, and names (trades, brands) types of IPR law - patent, copyright, trademark, industrial design, graphical indication (rights and enforcement of rights differ in each) patent - you much look at the document that lays out the patent specification (prove infringement). copyright - reading and comparing Trademark - creative labor (not physical labor) technological domain.... LOL. real property vs intellectual property. Exclusive right. real property has borders. IPR are created rights. Patent offices......???? Codes, infrigement, knowledge economy. Norms are made at national level. Patent act of 1911. British. 20 years. Making, selling, using, offering sale, import. Only for jurisdiction. Need for IPR???? Purpose for patents. Incentive to create intellectual ideas, invest money, and time. 1970 was when India wanted to start a unique system. 1995 India joined WTO and subsequently adjusted it's IPR. 16:45 Patents around food, drug, and medicine lengthened (14) to 20 years.
