Well before i realized we'd be fighting Grommash and the warlords, I was guessing Gul'dan would be second last for Kil'Jaeden being summoned or maybe rather like seems from in-game (and like you mentioned) Archimonde shows up at the end being summoned into Draenor

This blood is really strong, Kilrog got second skull on his beard

Gul 'dan will it make my voidheart blood elf warlock or corruptor human warlock a powerless slave of the burning legion while he already serves the legion or does it only work on orcs?

Meanwhile, the mighty heroes of Azeroth are taking selfies alone in their garrison with birds on their heads.

What amazes me the most is the number of fans who claim Blizzard dont know their own lore, saying that Mannaroth got slain so his blood is powerless, yet they failed to notice that the transformation Kil'rog went through was NOT the same transformation as the one Mannaroth's blood triggers. It seems the blood donor is a new demon, a more powerful one it would seem, as Kil'rog more than just changed colour.

The blood of Magtheridon, a lesser Pit Lord, was consumed in Outland to become Fel Orcs, which is pretty much what Kilrogg turned into there. The spikes and such are evidence of that. Plus, when Mannoroth died, plenty of it was left behind, be it on the ground or in those strange stone pillars located at where the blood was going to be drank. I believe that due to the Iron Horde's losses, Gul'dan "empowered" the blood so they'd become even more ferocious to make up for their loss of numbers.

***** That is true, but after Magtheridon died, the fel orcs of Outland (who drank his blood to become fel orcs) did not revert back to green-skinned orcs. This evidence is shown with Mor'ghor and the fel orcs of the Dragonmaw clan encountered in the Twilight Highlands.

Daniel Wells Fel orcs are red. They've been like that since Warcraft 3, when Grommash drank Mannoroth's blood for the second time, to fight Cenarius. Due to the visual difference between what we've seen of actual fel orcs, I'm not really sure if Gul'dan even offered a pit lord's blood, this might be different.

This cinematic has completely changed the rest of the expansion for sure. Looks like Grommash isnt the final boss

What it's going to come down to is Gul'dan is going to torture Grommash until he drinks. His iron will is going to be tested. The question is whether or not Grommash will be able to resist Gul'dan's torture or whether he'll eventually succumb to it. There still could be a chance that Grommash is the final boss if he is forced to drink the blood. It really is drawing parallels to his lord's of war story.

If you really thought grom was the final boss, you havent been paying attention. One particular "clue" is in with the garrison statues, a statue with guldan and khadgar fighting that you get with the achievement "the king in green". i mean, thats quite obvious. another thing is, why have another hellscream be the final boss? blizz isnt that stupid.

***** Why can you not believe he would ask "Who are these people? Who is this mage guy and why is he chasing me? Who is Garrosh, the guy who ruined all of my plans?" But it's also totally possible that Wrathion may have had something to do with it, but for some reason I don't think he would want to have a discussion with someone so close to the Burning Legion, when Wrathions whole purpose of life is pretty much protecting Azeroth from the Burning Legion.

I wish to add one more thing about Kil'rogg. As an aging warrior, one more reason Kil'rogg decided to abandon Grom is because the way the latter was spending troops, the former would much rather save warriors around him for battles they could win. This is especially true, when in the First War, Cho'gall and his Twilight's Hammer Clan attacked Stormwind Keep , while an older Kil'rogg kept his Bleeding Hollow warriors out of harm's way, so they won't die for nothing.

I love Gul'dan - he's so badass in this cinematic. Definitely one of my favorite villains.

Atleast they acknowledged that the iron horde was as scary as a bunch of angry bronies.

At BlizzCon they jokingly said Grom is the final boss. Then they said he isn't the final boss. Then Chilton said in an interview that he is the final boss. Now they're again saying he isn't. So there's a lot of confusion about that.

I always loved the Lich King as a major villain, but I'm definitely liking how Gul'dan is turning out

This is nonsense after all. Because when Grommash killed Manoroth in wc3, the blood losts its power. Therefore the blood that killrog just had, should not do anything to him. And he should definetly not grow any spikes or become grey...so the only possibility is, that guldan did something to the blood himself....or some other burning legion creep.

What about Magtheridon? In our timeline his blood was used to create more Fel Orcs for Illidan's army, and in this timeline we haven't met him yet, so one could assume that Gul'dan got backup in the form of him, or perhaps another Pit Lord.

wow, these in-game cinematics are really epic, I hope Blizz makes more, they are very impressive and good work was put into them, these cinematics will be the legacy and give us nostalgia when we look back on WoD.

I like the look on Grommash’s face and the tone of his voice when he picks up the axe. Garrosh never told Grommash he was his son so Gromm is in shock of this and sadness because his son is dead.

The animation on the models is so well done, I've never seen a fictional creature speak with such emotion. Being able to read the faces on these characters was awesome, good job blizzard

If I could head the machinimating department at Blizzard, I'd just release a weekly series of stories and the like. No in-game context, just pure, beautiful, machinimated fun.

Nice trailer now go and make some real content for us that ain't simply raid and are sick of pvp / dailys . Here;s a idea for you Blizz a Vine integration,that's real contnent there by your book.

I teared up at the look on Grom's face when he found out Garrosh was dead... dammit Blizz, you break my heart. The feels are real. Epic cutscene all right. And as others have said, it DOES seem like Grom would become more of an ally and Gul'dan more as the main nemesis. Curious!

pateuvasiliu He isn't alive. It's unclear what his fate was at the end of Auchindoun. A theory I came up with is that Gul'dan retrieves the body and plants Ner'zhul's spirit in it.

Patrick Laceholder You clearly see in Auchindoun is that he flies off when he has around 200k hp left and you never see his body, so I think the end of Auchindoun clearly implies that he survived and fled.

personally, I just love Gul'dan's chuckle at Grom's "my soldiers died with HONOR!"

So why didn't we kill Gul'dan during the WoD starting quests again?

Because we couldn't, The Iron Horde used him to open the portal in the first place, after we freed him (without the Iron Horde's consent) he saw the opportunity to just leave ( since you, a lvl 90 character (LOL) can't defeat him at that point).

Metehan Akkus Khadgar, Thrall and Maraad were all like 20 yards away, totally could have called for backup. Gul'dan was defenseless before we freed him. Lore-wise every player character (Orcs and Draeni especially) should know who Gul'dan is and know he should be murdered on sight.

Compare it with the siege cinematic. He loved his son as much as Garrosh did his father, and eventho he just found out he was. You see booth peoples emotional reactions. That's Family love beyond time.

Trafalgar Water D. Law That would be charming. If it made sense. Garrosh purposely made it that Grom wouldn't know who he was, aside from some strange orc with schematics. I don't bloody get that to be honest.

NoName1462 Only blood from a Pit Lord can take control over other beings like that. Might be Brutallus or Magtheridon, Brutallus looks more grey-ish than the other Pit lords.

WoWFtw8 but who says he's in control by something now? we only seen him change and thats all. and who doesnt say gul'dan is taking matters in own hands now since the situation has changed. Bit taking grom's role over, gaining trust of his fellow orcs by giving them more ''power''.

Theory time: The skull on Kilrogg beard is the skull of a young ogre. By drinking the Demon blood, the ogre's skull was corrupted as well, and became a 2 headed ogre's skull.

I know this has nothing to do with what happens in this cinematic, but do you guys remember how the first DK was created in our timeline? (Gul'dan creates Teron'gor as first dk).Garrosh is left dead on a giant stone hand and Mr.Gul'dan could come and do his thing with soul stuff and makes Garrosh the first DK from this timeline? It could be a very interesting plot if you ask me.

looking at this, grom might try to prevent this. and may become the grommash we loved back in warcraft

I see it, we save Grommash and he comes back as our new Warchief!

Woot! Just finished the legendary questline and saw this. Pretty cool twist. Setting up 6.2 for a good story. Just Blizz, gotta put that video in our garrisons where we can re-watch it like the others. Cuz its so cool! but had to come here to re-watch it :p

I can see where it would make sense since it is a "revisiting our past" kind of video, but also where it wouldn't make sense as to the legendary questline isn't required in the lvling up process so not everybody sees it. But that really isn't a fair reason cuz it's their choise if they don't wanna do it, so their choice if they don't wanna unlock it for their garrison.

I want to discuss 2 things here: first: the demons's blood, second: Grommash and the final boss of WoD. DEMON'S BLOOD: Many theories are going on about what demon does this blood come from. Keep in my mind that the demon's blood story is pretty messed up: - Mannoroth's blood gives orcs green skin and red eyes. But in Warcraft 3, the Warsong orcs that drank it got red skin for unknown reasons. - The death of Mannoroth in our timeline freed the orcs that drank it, but in WoD, after Mannoroth's death, Gul'dan was not freed. Why ?? So, it's clear that Kilrogg's transformation is way too different from what normaly happens with Mannoroth's blood and it is most likely that this blood comes from another demon, or maybe it's Blizzard's mistake once again. GROMMASH: Many people think that we are going to team up with Grommash and the orcs that remain loyal to him. Again, keep in mind that Blizzard already announced multiple times that Grommash will be the final boss. This leads me to 3 theories: - Blizzard lied to keep the true ending secret and Grommash will not be the final boss. - Gul'dan will convince Grommash to drink, or he will force feed him the blood. We will then fight a corrupted Grommash. - Grommash will escape Gul'dan, but he might not be willing to team up with us. So far, we have been killing pretty much anyone loyal to him. So, the events of WoD will end up as a 3 sides war: Azeroth's champions, Grommash loyalists and Gul'dan's fel orcs. We will then fight an uncorrupted Grommash leading what remains of the Iron Horde.

I don't think we have ever had this many enemies. The Iron Horde, Burning Legion+Gul'Dan and Killrog's Horde, the Arakkoa, the Void, Ogres, and maybe there will be more. I hope so.

What if... Gul'dan made a decoy of Garrosh, and kept him in a cave or something, and manipulated Grommash, by telling him, that his son is dead, so that Gul'dan can have power, and be the end boss after all? And what if we partner with the Hellscreams? :D
