Much appreciated
Magnificent! Would love to photograph Pumas. I've been travelling to South America since the 1980's. I think you could easily combine Pumas with Southern Right Whales in Peninsula Valdes Argentina and Esteros Del Ibera Argentina(second largest wetlands after the Pantanal) Argentina, for birds and other wildlife. Rewilding Argentina has reintroduced Jaguars, Giant Otters and other wildlife that was historically found in Esteros Del Ibera as well.
Patagonia is one of the most beautiful places on this planet.
Both the pumas and the landscape 🙃

Agreed!
Always informative
Absolutely stunning scenery and photos. It would be nice to know what were your camera settings for the long exposures.
Very useful video! I am also going to be puma tracking this coming December and like you, am a wildlife shooter and not very experienced in landscape photography. For the pumas I will bring a 600mm 5.6 and a 100-400 (shooting with Nikon Z9 and Z8) but I really don't know what to bring for landscape. Really the only landscape lens I even own is a kit 24-70 F4. I was pleased to see that you were using a 24-70 but wonder if you found that wide enough? Would something wider be more useful? Also can't decide on bringing a tripod or not. Interesting that you didn't use one but I saw in your puma video that you regretted not bring it.
Hi Janine! I'm very excited to see your videos, since I will be in Patagonia in December 2024 after a week in Antartica. I'd love to photograph landscape, but also pumas and birds. I'm trying to come up with a list of gear to bring. You used your RF 400 2.8 for wildlife and 24-70 for landscape. I have a RF 600 f4 and 100-500 f4-7 on an R5 body. Also I have a RF 14-35 f4 and 28-70 f2 as well as a RF 70-200 f4. I also have a monopod and tripod. Any recommendations on which lenses and gear I should bring? I would need the same kit for Antarctica, but have a carry on weight limit of 17 lbs on one of the charter flights. What to do?
If you are addicted to a long lens, I can well imagine that a short lens feels a bit awkward. In that respect it might be an idea to switch to the compact Om camera system😂😂
In what country is the park?
