Pat Wayne is my Dad!! The BBC have their records in their archives & when I worked there I got it all out & burned them to DVD for my Dad! I've even won a card with all the bands autographs from eBay!! Signed in the 60's!! He's got a pretty good voice! But then I'm ever so slightly biased! Matt find me on Facebook, I'd love to see those photos Tina Curley...

Hi Tina, my dad was Brian 'Monk' Finch, he played Sax with your dad - I have some great memorabilia too (just scrapbook stuff but happy to share) I don't look here often but I'm the only Anna Kirstie of Facebook as far as I'm aware & from Sydney Australia (currently living in QLD) get in touch if you feel like it, dads passed on so it's lovely to know people are still interested in what he did. Anna

TinaEbba does your dad still perform?! We dance to his songs at record hops all the time! I'm sure he would be invited to play at rockabilly festivals throughout the world, especially at Viva La Vegas Rockabilly Weekender!

Well I never. Hello Tina, I was guitarist with yo' dad, I did all their & his Cabaret arrangements- I recall vividly one day he came & asked me to write out parts for "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" . I think your job had you living far away, but we all met up that night @ Night Club in Brum-& he surprized you by singing the latest hit song especially for you.... 5 of us are still alive & kickin'..( see my reply to David Mason above) ..Kind Regards, Eric.

My dad used to play "My Friend" by Pat Wayne when he used to come home from a night out in the late 60's. He was friends with John Rooney (The Plainsmen guitarist), Mike Burney(sax player). Would anyone know where I could buy a copy of My Friend?

I was lead guitar with Pat Wayne & Beachcombers- we did a great live version of My Friend ( A great faith promoting song-I still sing & play it privately. ) Also a little known fact, John Bonham-( yes the very same !) was our drummer for about 4-5 months before the band folded. We played Stairway to Heaven, 6 -7 years before, LZep. ! Pat & Mal Edwardes (bass) Brian Sharpe (Drums) & Fred Thrupp (keys)all still alive & kickin',..we all met up & had dinner last year. Hopefully we do it again.. Amazin !!
