I think it was for the best the light-hearted jabs were turning into not-a-joke-legit-button-pushing-swings on each other at least they didn't stay on until they blew up and had the ugly fight heard by millions.

Watch their Bloodborne LP, it's even better than the one with Woolie.

They'll probably make up later on. They been doing this for what almost ten years. It was gonna end or take a lil break at some point and time business and friendships are a tricky thing to balance. They probably just need some time to chill out and be away from each other

@@muchhorrorsuchwow Pat already said months ago in one of his streams that he wouldn't have the patience to wait for LP timings to play REmake2, regardless of what happened to the channel now, so the LP was never meant to be anyway. He said he will probably stream the playthrough though, iirc.

I was also confused, so I searched for the source. It's from this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/dY5mrMelm5Wnc8o.html and they're freaking out because they JUST realized, all these years later after playing it for the first time, that "Redips" is "Spider" backwards, which makes the game's twist super obvious.

Hey man, just wanted to say that you're the animator we needed, and deserved. Thanks for putting a happy cap on a sad day.

(reading the description) While all good things must come to an end, when they do end it's good if you feel sad. The sadness is proof that what transpired meant something. Everyone has their moments, their enjoyments, their regrets. Once thing I'll say is the journey of the Super Best Friends will never truly end. I genuinely grew up watching these fools play games and have a laugh with each other while doing so, a very sad thing to see that they won't be doing it anymore. Here's hoping they can make up in the future and do some more, maybe all they need is a break from each other.

Today really was the saddest day of the year for an SBF, but thanks for cheering some of us up with this animation. It was quite amusing seeing crazy talk for one last time and seeing the boys get all hyped up...especially the tarkus moment.

Honestly, this was the worst way to find out. I was confused as to why people were acting so sad thinking it was a joke with the fade out. Then I checked my subscriptions. I never felt loss so intense like this before.

I’m here a year later and still missing TBFP, Theres a hole in my heart left by them being gone, they meant a lot to me during really bad times. There have been new channels but none like the zaibatsu. RIP the truest of let’s play channels. Never forgotten, but always remembered.

Imagine all the playthroughs we could've had, dmcv, sekiro So many good times lost

Game Grumps is still good. I love 'em. They get me through some tough days. But dayum... they really don't fit that Best Friends shaped hole in my heart.

This bring tear in my eye

I started watching them in the initial re2 playthrough. I basically watched them daily since then. It is wild what a truly foundational piece of my childhood they were, and in an era of horrific internet drama, I am glad it ended with the grace it did. I still watch much of their solo content and it feels good to know that at least some people on the internet can be normal enough to have friendships break apart without making it everyone else's problem and to deal with it maturity. I still really appreciate how so much of the fanbase mourned and didn't fall into the trap of rumormongering as much as they could have. It's weird to think how healthy the sbfp fanbase is/was, but I'm grateful that, after so many childhood creators turning out to be awful, I can still cherish these ones.

It's beautiful. Thank you. I'm not going to cry.

I lied.

We may never have new videos of the whole group, but we at least have the memories we can go back to. I will forever remember that axe Matt threw into that hell-pit in Silent Hill and the DS2 patch that fucked with Pat and Woolie. Thankfully all of them are still making content, even if it is separate from each other for the most part.

I knew something this good couldn’t last...just wish it ended better than this.

It did sucked. Man, I follow them and all, but there's still a sore spot there.

It hurts to think about these guys helped me when I was at my lowest. Although they are doing there own things now... it's not the same.😞it will never be the same.

I didn't even know they quit. most of the time it was recommended to me in the side bar but at the time I followed alot of let's players so I didn't bother. Now seeing your animations of the best bits I think I could have enjoyed it quite a bit.

You only started making SBFP stuff recently, but you shall be remembered along with the other great animators and artists of the super best friends lets play universe.

They were blown away because they couldn't understand how it took them so long to realize that Colonel Redips was the bad guy because his name is just spider backwards.

@@AsIfrasle The developer actually did a really good job of hiding it. The moment Spider is introduced to the party literally everyone stops saying Redips' name. They just call him things like the boss or Colonel R. all the way up until the end of the game. That's why Liam and Woolie both noticed it at the same time. It was the first time since Spider's introduction that Redips' name was spoken.

After going through middle school, highschool, and working as an adult catching the occasional video or the podcast to make the day go by quicker making everyone giggle with "why the hell are you laughing so hard". Even though after some years its settled in. Things will never be the same. I will never be over it.

What a terrible day for rain

Ya know I would have probably been okay with this, If it didn't happen the same day as my birthday... and with my cat dying on the same day... It was a real gut punch of a day, but I'm happy that even now each of them are doing so well. Those guys got me through some dark times, and i'm happy they lasted as long as they did. I could understand them disbanding the sbf thing as a business but still hang out and do things together or whatever but ending it over mat and pat straight up not being friends...I just dont understand. They did not even sound like they were having their relationship being strained. But I have only been a recent fan of them so I dont know the history they have.

They were never really good friends with each other. They were each good friends with Woolie, but not that well acquainted with each other when Woolie put them together for Matt's idea to audition for Machinima. The clash of personalities made great content, but those two were never going to be natural friends.

The first one is from Evil Within 2. Pat walked into a room full of trip wires and the first game was notorious for having a glitch that made the trip wires invisible at certain angles. The ones in Evil Within 2 were perfectly visible, and right after Pat boasts about beating them when they were invisible, he walks into one that’s as clear as day.

I know these comments are 2 months old but Woolie and Liam were losing it because they just realized that Redips spelled backwards was Spider which is the name of a party member in the game
