Maybe I don’t follow as much beauty reviewers but for me Charlotte is the first one to review new launches :)

Why is Pat doing this to her own brand? I'm truly baffled. This palette could have been such a hit if she had chosen other mattes than what she puts in EVERY palette.

@@AllisonMoon-SheWandersFeral I don’t think it’s about being impactful or not, it’s that the rosy mattes give the same story as so many of her other palettes, and it’ll be hard to get really different looks with this because they’re all similar depth and only two different tones. That being said, I agree with Charlotte that the shimmers are AMAZING. I just use glitter glue with all my metallics, which works great. I want to use this with ND Biba or Glam to get those mid tone mattes.

Actually I really love palette I own many of them but this one is very everyday friendly and the ones you think look real pink are more muted in person .

You're right, I thought the missing piece of the puzzle was a more neutral, bronzy matte as a transition color. I've been using a my bronzer as a transition shade and it's been working well!

I know the algorithm favors who reviews first but I do enjoy my fave beauty KZreadrs just reviewing whatever whenever. So glad to get your take on this one.

I watched Martina Lily's review a few days ago. She basically said the same thing. She used her favorite transition shade from Pat McGrath in all her looks.. making the palette work for what she likes to wear. I don't have a problem with that. I do the same with my eye looks. Heaven knows I have plenty of eyeshadow to choose from! 😏

Hi dear Charlotte, last review or not, i loved it, always love your video's so much and you look fabulous, those cooler tones are so beautiful on you!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩I'm 52 now and having more often sensitive eyes, i stopped buying eyeshaodow from this brand. So, mostly, it has nothing to do with Pat, but more with me. But when i look at the palette, and that the palettes went in euro's up to 155 plus shipping, Charlotte, i want every shade to work for me, and i don't see that, having hazel/khaki green eyes, seeing 2 (!) matte bright pinks and 1 half working deeper brown matte in this palette, i would anyway been my no. When she would come with a quad of these special shades, these cute disco shades, i would pick up my glitter glue than still now and than, and purchase. But the colours, well, especially the not-special shades, a no. I'm not ready to declutter my PMG work, i have almost all her eyeshadows upto palette nr. 9, which i did use, but not much, and that said to me: stop. I still love her shadows now and than, although i find Natasha Denona and Sydney Grace (don't have everyting of these brands) easier, the formula. But Pat is Pat, and i admire her for that!!! Still love her undereye powder and her nude lipglosses so much!!! From her, i mostly enjoy the easier things, like the big red Christmas palette from last year, i will only dump this one when expired, simply because the formula is so easy, searching a cute matte, or in another palette, and than a one and done shade, or 2. And i would never get rid of my Ritualistic Rose and Divine Rose 1. Are her mattes always a party, no. Is she an artist, yes. But i use more and more, like Suqqu, Chantecaille, Surratt, Dior type of shadows, and now and than these. I did give away Mothership 5, as it made me nervous. But did the same, for the same reason with the ND gold palette. And i will declutter, never dump of course, but give to my best friend's daughter, more of her work, but want to be very sure what i keep. Nocturnal Nirvana, can't wear all 4 shades of course, but just one, such a masterpiece quad, that one will stay until it expires also! I loved to watch and to listen this Charlotte, all looks are so beautiful on you, have a wonderful day!!!!😘😘😘😘

I waited patiently for your review and was worth the wait, I've had great delivery from Pats website on my last 2 orders, 5 or 6 days from order to door. I'm happy to use my bronzer or contour as my transition shade, I would've loved to lose the two pink shades altogether (there's enough of her palettes to pull a pink sgade from) and replace them a green or a navy blue or even a purple!! Also, I just think three mattes aren't enough. I might, just might buy it when it's in a sale but I definitely won't be paying full price. I loved look no.2. I think PML gets a level of scrutiny that no other brand gets. People gush over the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk quad which for the price have small pans, terrible quality that barely shows and glitter that ends up all over your face. It also pulls warm on me and ends up a salmon shade. This new mothership has a lovely neutral tone that stays true all day and the quality is head and shoulders above CT, ND or Tom Ford. How many time do palettes from them ever truly produce results anything like PML. I have found I am able to use the Platinum disk shade in the crease, blended with a little of the pinker matte and produce a lilac type result. The skin show shade also works really well over platinum dusk. Yes perhaps a lighter blend out shade would have been nice but (I have lots) compared to other motherships it has for me the most usable shades. I don’t like warm tones. The stand out special shade in here is very much along the lines of the one in bronze seduction. However I think this offers more variety. PML is also trying to make a palette that works across the board for all undertones and skin tones. It may not seem as exciting on first impressions but in the long run is actually far more usable than say Divine Rose two.

I will always watch your review, no matter how late! I agree about an additional transition shade, but I only like cool or neutral - I would like a cool mid toned taupe, but really don’t want to give up any of the shades for it…lol.

I really love the looks you’ve done. I’m using my Eyedol single in Statuesque as the neutral matte that should have been where the red in the bottom row sits. I really love how your crease came out with the last look with the brown over the rose shade…I’m definitely doing that next! I’ve only used that special shade with just the rose. Yay!

I do totally agree that I wish she had put in another neutral transition shade. But either way I love this palette as I did receive it for a birthday gift. 🙊 the special shades do give alot of fall out but the end result is worth it.

i got this pallet and so glad i did these colors work much better on my skin tone than her others. i do agree that the two red toned shades in there look exactly the same blended out but the shimmers are amazing tomorrow i think we are going to the city so i will wear vr sextasy for the first time ive been wearing these colors to work gorgeous lasts a good 5+ hours in super hot temperatures without spray top notch quality

I realized that I have a palette by Mac from years to go that looks a lot it. It’s called “The Shining Hour” There aren’t any mattes shadow but it’s limited edition. The last look you did was absolutely stunning 🤩

I agree. I neutral transition would have been nice. I'm just so over the pinks. The vr shade and 2 others are the only shades I really like.

Completly my opinion. I would love a lighter cooler Matte. Like a Taupe in MS 1 (a match made in heaven). I often use it with the palette. And I miss the baked formular. And I am by your side with the fall out with the 3 shades. Thank you for your review.

I have all pats motherships and actually really love this is a easy to wear and cohesive that I try different looks easy. It’s fast becoming my every day palette for one and done and for full glam. I like boring asf palettes with pops and the duo chrome is enough. Yes it’s the same pinky maybey tones with the mattes but to be fair they work for the crease and to deepen and make blue or green eyes pop. But yes agree we could of had a green or something and some neutral or cool tones for the mattes that still would of worked with the show stoppers in this

Selfishly I would also like a brown transition shade in the palette, but I don't think a color like that would fit the moonlight theme very well. When I think "moonlight," I think cool tones.

I thought it was just me that had a horrible time with the matte browns in her motherships. Also, I have watched other reviews prior to yours and people were saying that the special shades were smoother than usual. You are one of the 2 people that described them as flaky. It doesn't matter if you were late to the party. I look forward to your reviews. Especially when it comes to Pat McGrath. I did end up picking this up but only because of the collector in me had to have it. I haven't tried it yet.

The shimmers seem to be stunning, your looks are gorgeous (esp look 3) but I don't love the matte colours. Thank you for your honesty & have a great weekend!

I would have loved if she replaced one of those red shades with her Statuesque shadow. Perfect neutral transition shade for a lot of skin tones. I have it as a single and I use it a lot with her palettes because she is not good at putting in a good midtone transition shade in most of her palettes.

I'm still looking for my perfect PMG pallette...for such proce I'd like to use all the shades and thanks to your swatches I think I will skip on that one. It just has too many light shades that I won't be using. I may end up getting Bridgerton I pallette.

You never have to explain when it comes to shipping from mother, bc I live in the US and it’s literally the same. I can wait up to 3-4 weeks or it would come within the week. I really wish she would do whatever she needed as far as logistics bc it seems a nightmare and quite annoying. There’s so many shipping companies in the US that there should be no reason for this, but here we are.

Interesting that tomford does the same quads colour story million times and Charlotte and Dior and no one requests for green or blue mattes, It’s not pat style to use does colours , every brand have their signature style and this is Pat . And when this brands do colour is always shimmer . And she is the only luxury that does this incredible sales, she’s the only luxury brand I know that gives 10% off on lunch day, the only luxury brand that does discounted bundles and personalised bundles.

That's pretty much all I see from people with regards to both of those brands! People are always crying out for colour from CT. But its certainly true that some brands stick to their aesthetic and that's their prerogative!

I seem to be unable to discern whether this is a cooler or warmer palette???!!! If I can get it on sale,though,will have to get it to complete my little 10 palette set. Wonder if we will go on to xi,xii etc in to infinity-tantalizing or terrifying…?

I would love to for you to give suggestions on people that don’t have a lot of lid space.

For this particular palette, I would have *LOVED* it if the mattes were: 1.) A light warm brown, 2.) A slightly richer version of Velouria, 3.) A deep, muted teal. As it is, I will just wait for one of her own epic 30-40% sales and snatch it up then!

I decided not to purchase this palette mainly because of the mattes. I know I have some version of them in my stash. In a perfect world, Pat would launch a palette of just special shades and another of just matte shades, but I know that will likely never happen.

Okok me to hehe 😜 🤪 for some reason this one wasn't just a a must have for me but my hubby asked me if I wanted for my birthday and I don't want to be complete collection person only things I will use again and again and every time I see be very happy with what I have.

Pat’s darker mattes can be used as transition shades with a loose fluffy brush and a very light hand (this is how I use the darkest mattes in the Bridgerton I and Venus in Fleurs palettes). What I don’t understand is why she has put two very similar rosy shades in when one could easily have been substituted for a mid or lighter taupe, for example. The rest of the palette does look absolutely beautiful though and I’m looking forward to a sale to pick it up… xx

I just got mine today after ordering my mothership X at launch on her site. I don’t think there is any improvement in shipping. Usually I’ve lost interest by the time her products arrive.

I have a Sephora mini palette with a similar dark brown shade and it blends effortlessly, so the fact that PMG can't seem to have a consistent formula on dark mattes makes me wonder if those palettes are really worth the money... And consider that this brand is most of the time excluded from any sale or promotion on Sephora Italia....

If you read this, can you tell me what necklaces you are wearing? They are beautiful 😍

Strangely I have never had a problem with Pats shipping always cone to me within a week….looks lovely but I am giving it a miss as it’s same old same old…I went into Isamaya’s industrial palette instead : 🎉❤

I love this palette I wish she would’ve done a matte vanilla instead of her skin show color as well as a different brown. She repeats her colors so often it’s frustrating for the price point! It is. A beautiful palette though.

Yeah I feel like I don't see any neutral mattes in any Pat McGrath palettes. I don't like the way those darker rose purpley shades look on my skin tone, it can go to black eye bruise territory very quickly. If she would have put some different mattes in this palette (literally ANY other shades besides these) it would have been a show stopper! Imagine a lighter cool toned brown shade or a deep emerald green?

Pat's shipping is a headache. It's been a week and my item still hasn't shipped.

The inconsistencies in deliveries between Selfridges and the PM sites are confusing as well and infuriating. And although I've never seen one of her palettes IRL, only on screen, and correct me if I'm wrong here, but most of them appear to be very similar with only the odd one or two colours to differentiate between them. This new one, well I'm sure I've seen it before...🤔.

Charlotte I found that the darker brown to be blotchy patchy and I had to blend forever. That being said I love this palette and I could not wait for the future sale in this one. I did get mine quickly just after release to her website. I was very surprised. I always appreciate your reviews no matter the timing. 💖💄👄

She could have gotten rid of the lighter matte shade and the other could have been used in 2 ways. Blending that color out would have given the same look as that lighter shade. Packing and lightly blending it would have given some depth. With that lighter shade gone a transitional shade could have been put in its place. That brown? I just don't have any words for it, lol. I thought her special shimmers were something to be awed over but they didn't do that for me. When I saw all of that fallout/glitter everywhere the first product that came to my mind was CP's SS shadows which I'm NOT a fan of. Not only do those shadows leave glitter everywhere they also tend to make the lids look crusty regardless of how they're applied. Her packaging is beautiful but as I always say. I'm not wearing the packaging. What matters to me is what's inside and how it performs. If it's aces then the packaging is just a bonus. That's my 2 cents... 🤷‍♀️

I'm so baffled by the PM frenzy. It's OK stuff but it's constantly over priced and out of 10 colors maybe you'll actually use 4. I bought her blushes but honestly RMS and so many others are as good or better. Just another pass for me but I loved this video because of you❤️👍
