I don't even own a TV anymore thanks in large part to garbage like ESPN and everything else. There's much better personalities, shows, and entertainment here on YT from people streaming from their garage without 42 commercial breaks featuring some Hollywood twat who wants me to feel like a bad person because I want a plastic straw with my 96 oz soda.

    Think about how the fans get behind the idea of Tom Brady being their team's leader, their team's guy... knowing that in the middle of all these world-altering events, Tom felt it was necessary, appropriate & right for him to personally make their team's town his home. That is a stand-up way to demonstrate "I'm all in on the team, not just here for the talent to go for a ring and prove my old boss wrong... I'm ready to be a legendary Buccaneer!"

    It's my understanding from what I've read that Bucs fans HATED the alarm clock numbers on the last jerseys from the moment they came out but the NFL lets teams change only once every 5 years so this was the EXACT moment they could finally ditch them and go back to normal numbers.

  • @justingardner4658

    @ChrisRoy - me too ! If I was in a jersey mood. I wore my Brooks, Sapp n Alstott jerseys . Once we switched I copped ,D.White,Evans n Godwin. I said that the alarm clocks would be just like when you watch nfl films n see teams that were horrible in certain eras ( usually with ugly unis as well) - that would be us years from now in retrospect. Even the 10-6 year under Raheem Morris was still our original pewter theme. Too bad our throwback creamsicles will have to wait at least another year and God knows how good we’ll be when we get to wear them again. I saw nothing but heartache in those.

    As a Lions fan I can almost confidently say, "I'm sure one of those clubs trying to get TB 12 had to be the Lions." And there lies the rub; whether he can or can't play doesn't alter the fact that he wants to play and that is ok but what he wants to do can be done only if he would do something outrageous like join the CFL or XFL when (definitely when) he is told by an NFL team that his services are no longer wanted. I know Tom is a "gamer" but I doubt even he would take so drastic a step. Also, contrary to what Pat thinks might happen I think what might happen is that the NFL season will get cancelled which would make Tom one year older with no playing time for that year. I don't believe even Tom Brady can get fit enough to play a meaningful season of football after a year long hiatus; he'll be 44 then and that is just too old to be away from the game that long. So all this discussion, hope and hand-wringing might all be for naught.

    @- Morales not true. Reaction times and other physical attributes decline. Not saying it's impossible. But doing an athletic thing at an older age is overall harder than something like painting. They both take immense talent and work don't get me wrong

  • @reapercometh

    @reapercometh

    @- Morales not true. It requires more effort and work as you age to maintain. So while interest waning can exaggerate the problem. It does happen with age. Older athletes compensate by being knowledgeable and having experience. But time catches up to everyone.

  • @reapercometh

    @- Morales It's not true at all. aging happens. With it comes a decline in abilities physically and mentally at times. Yes staying active helps both your mind and body, but it can only do so much. Time can and will catch up to everyone

  • @reapercometh

    @reapercometh

    @- Morales We are talking about athletes. Playing a physical sport. The best of the best at physical displays and activities are younger. Watch the olympics. Namely event's which are purely about physical performance or athleticism. The majority are barely 20. Are there exceptions? Sure. But the top of the top are the young who train hard. Does this mean you can't do athletic things as you age? Not at all. You will just not be the best of the best. Which hey it turns out the NFL kind of is the best of the best.

  • @reapercometh

    @reapercometh

    4 жыл бұрын

    @- Morales My point is people degrade slowly over time. The body is a biological machine. IT fails. Healing takes longer. I'm not saying as you age you get useless. I'm arguing against your asinine point that age doesn't matter. Tom Brady plays a skill position. Yes he's still more athletic than most people even half his age. but he's worked harder than most to maintain that in every way. I respect him for that. If he was a running back or a WR or anything that relies more on the physical side he would not still be playing at his level. You my friend are not thinking clearly. Aging happens. It's not a sudden thing. It's a slow decline that can be slowed more with work and effort. It is undeniable. It will continue to happen all you can do is slow it down. I've never once said being old is bad or incapable. I'm talking purely at a physical level. Reaction time and strength dwindle as you age. If you doubt that you haven't lived in the real world. Age isn't just a number

    I live in Tampa Bay area and the Bucs changed the numbers on their uniforms so that they could been seen better on HD tv's. I don't think they thought about everyone being able to see the number on the player who screwed up the last play (on every play). I'm glad they went forward by going backward. Not a fan of the Bucs, just say'n.

    that's great if he wants to keep playing and is able to, but ridiculous to compare stopping to a musician or painter. if their professions were killing them or threating their lives every time they wrote or painted something, then people would probably implore them to quit as well. every time you step out on a field you are risking your future health and well being. he's comparing apples to oranges.

    I said I would follow DC4 if my team since elementary decided to go with TB12! Derek Carr will be a TOP5 QB 4 the next 10 years! Don't believe me just watch.. The Raiders are finally back and it's about damn time! We finally got all our assets/draft picks back from the Khalil Mack, Amari Cooper and Gareon Conley trades(2018 Rebuild). Alot of our draft picks in 2020 was hurt or limited in 2020. Our Offensive Line wasn't @ full strength for even 1 game in 2020. Our secondary was DECIMATED the 2nd half the season.. We dealt with injuries and covid as much as anyone! Yet DC outplayed Ma🏚🏚 both games and we're the ONLY TEAM to beat 3 TEAMS w/ ATLEAST 10+ WINS: Chiefs(should've beat them twice), Saints and Browns. DC had 2 rookie WR's that's going to be alot better in 2021 and he resurrected Nellys career! The media loves to 💩 on DC but he's one of the BEST QB's in the NFL! The Raiders were 53-123 from 2003-2013 BEFORE Drafting DC in the 2014. Since DC has been a Raider he's been part of 2 REBUILDS and 4 DIFFERENT HEAD COACHES. But we finally have a little CONSISTENCY and some quality YOUNG TALENT on BOTH SIDES of the BALL. We need to address THE MIDDLE of the DLINE and THE BACKEND @ FS in Free Agency and the Draft.. Which I know we will! 2021 is going to be THE BEGINNING of a NEW RAIDERS DYNASTY! ☠RAIDER☠NATION☠ Didn't want Tuck Rule Tommy in Silver & Black nor did we want all those Bandwagon fans! DC is still just 29 years old and finally has some stability and talent around him again.. Only this time its sustainable bc were so young! We lost alot of vets in 2016 that's not the case in 2021.. We're just getting started and DC is entering his PRIME going into his 4th season with Gru!

    Pat asked why Tom bothers being in Tampa at this time, nothing to do, etc etc 🤔 must not know Tom , dude needs to learn a new offense and get chemistry going. A lot to catch up and Tom knows that. Wish him the best, thanks for the 6 championships. But one thing that came from CVID-19, its time to pay the essential people and reallocate this money. Dak saying his family needs to eat after being offered 34M is a slap in the face to Americans going through hard times
