PAT MARTINO: Chitarra
PAT BIANCHI: Organo Hammond B3
CARMEN INTORRE: Batteria

Pat Martino once said:"Life is sometimes like a staccato...you jumping around until you find the real one you love..and...you jumping through life until the day you find peace of mind"...beautyfull indeed if you think about it...thats why I always call him...mister STACCATO..mis you dear friend...the great Pat Martino...r.i.p.♥️🙏🎸🎵
He became one of the greats...TWICE...

Pat Martino’s Symmetrical Parental Forms. There are two chords that are symmetrical: the Augmented triad has 3 major thirds, and the Diminished 7th chord has 4 minor thirds. 1) Play 554 on GBE for C+ or C aug. Lower any note by one fret, you’ll “parent” 3 major triads. Instead raise any note by one fret, and you’ll “parent” 3 minor triads. - So one easy-to-grab Augmented triad can be used to “parent” 6 other triads, 3 major and 3 minor. 2) Play 4545 on DGBE for a Diminished 7th chord named for any of those notes in the chord. Lower any note by one fret, you’ll “parent” 4 different Dominant 7th chords. Instead, raise any note by one fret and you’ll “parent” 4 different Half-Diminished 7th chords (min7b5). - So that’s 8 other chords that are easy-to-form based on that “symmetrical “ Diminished 7th chord. - Pat Martino observed aspects of how a guitar functions, about how it “works”. It’s pretty cool to grab any Aug. triad or Diim.7th chord, and see all these possible chords that can be formed from them. - Pat Martino … Legend!

I had the pleasure of studying with Pat right at his home in South Philly! I got to play in his bedroom, and to a guitar player that's where it all begins. What an honor, I'll never forget it as long as I live. Thank you, Pat. You were sent from heaven.

I was able to meet the man once in our hometown of Philly. What a lovely person and soul. He will forever inspire me to pick the guitar up and express myself. ❤
Very Nice. Pat is beautiful.
Pat' guitar playing is what we all secretly learn from. So fluid, melodic and spot on! Other guitar players are perhaps more often mentioned, but Mr. Martino thought us all who play the jazz guitar. R.I.P. We will remember you as long as we live!

This is how one should play guitar.... Super playing Super playing on drums and organ too.... Just mind-blowing
Jazz in its most beautiful way, creative, technically flawless and inspiring. Thanks all for this delightful experience.
I studied jazz guitar from Travis Linville, who was taught by Mr. Martino. He's like my guitar grandpa, if only I had actual talent. Edit: that guitar is gorgeous and right up my alley, almost as beautiful as the musician playing it.

After returning to the UK 11 years ago from Italy, where I lived in Colli Euganei close to Padova for the best part of a decade, I am watching this & wondering why I bothered returning to this philistine plague ridden island. For all it's faults Italy is still the beautiful country with it's own unique culture & an appreciation of other cultures. Viva Italia!
A masterpiece!
If this is not the music that is inspiring, uplifting and mentally stimulating I am retarded otherwise. Pat is a master of the tradition. I like the organist and drummer they are all great. Happy to see pat at the blue Note NYC. He is very humble too. Philly is the home of legends. R.I.P

It's funny how musicians pick up a something and then pursue to the nth degree. The great Charlie Christian used to, now and again, repeat a short phrase a number of times in succession but by the time we get to Grant Green, and then Pat and George Benson that "number of times" becomes lots and lots and lots of times.
