The church denomination I was apart of for years did this all the time. I can’t tell you how many church functions I went to where they were playing Knuck if you buck. And I was luke warm at the time and didn’t feel any conviction about it. I left that church last year and am Holy Ghost filled on fire for the Lord. Watching this grieved my spirit and convicted me. I was so blind at the time and had no clue that Satan LOVED these parties. We were in the house of the lord where many “disciples” were gathered together and didn’t even remotely glorify God but instead glorified the devil. Thank you Jesus I am out of that now.

Last night I went to a new year's eve revival service. We sang hymns, I heard spirit filled sermon. food break. Then more hymns and then more spirit filled sermon. I left at 11:00 spirit filled. I didn't go there to have a good time. I went there to get inspired to be more like Jesus.

There's nothing wrong with going to church for New Year’s Eve. I did this all through my childhood. However, we NEVER swag surfed 😂 Finding a church home in ATL is difficult for this very reason.

I had 2 guys walk up to me today at Walmart *true story* They were Morman I believe. While passing me on an aisle, they asked if I would go to Church with them. My reply was "I am Church and Church is everywhere I go." After my reply, they walked off (instead of continuing to fellowship right then and there). I'm sharing this because people still refer to Church as a location...a building...a place and that it is not. YOU are the Church. Once more of us overcome that misconception, a lot better off we'll be.

@heilabang1044 Not at all. The 3 of us were already gathered, but they chose to walk off when I informed them of who and what I am. There was nothing indirectly insinuated...more like direct and simple truth. But when you have someone that doesn't understand the truth, it scares them. Also, people seek out people with less knowledge of certain subjects because it allows them to be easily manipulated or groomed. If they truly wanted to fellowship, the conversation would have continued but being that they walked off, one would assume that they had an ulterior motive by "not" fellowshipping when the opportunity arose...wouldn't you say?

@aali6241 I can now understand more of your perspective. I was just curious if you were opposed to gathering with other believers inside a designated building. I agree with you that we can gather at any location. So why not go to a location where there are many people with the same goals, beliefs, and foundation. I've gone out and met many people and have heard them use "I am the church" as a way to deflect getting together with other believers. Which I saw in the long run hindered their growth in Christ. Since the church helps edify each other and help us grow in maturity its hard to understand why a believer would opposed to going to church(this doesnt include churches with unsound doctrine and practices). I just looks like an eyeball laying around on the floor outside of the rest of the body. (Also I'm not encouraging worship towards the Mormon God, as that's not the same belief taught biblically😅.)

I was at home last night too. I brought in the new year at home. Nothing special, intentional or random. My focus was on God, that's all that matters.

You should look it up, because I didn’t even know myself until yesterday. This western New years’ celebration we have on the first on January is very pagan and actually derives from worship of a roman false god named Janus. In the Bible, the Lord told his people the new year is in the 1st month of Nisan, which would be april in Springtime. I’m really happy I found out, and hope this finds you well. I tried church in Atlanta via invite. All that was missing was Usher's set for Bad Girl; meaning, the praise team was swinging from the ceiling from bedsheets and trapezes rather than strip poles. The praise team was doing literally the same thing as strip club dancers. I side eye the person who invited me. Never again.

I went to a church yesterday for the new year. They had djs. They were doing the percolator, playing poison by belbivdevoe and other secular songs in the house of God. We left because the atmosphere was not set to bring in a holy word. It honestly felt like a club. These songs are fine for a banquet, event venue but not the house of God.

The worse part is that he makes some of the best worship and gospel songs. The enemy is out seeking whom he may devour. We all better make sure we purge all of our sins and secret sins before they over take us.

They are disrespecting the altar and the church itself. We are called to be set apart and no church should be giving space to the enemy. It’s truly sad to see how far some people can go with their selfish ambitions. If they wanted to go to a club, go do that. But not in a church where it is meant to serve and honor our Holy God. Lord help us and forgive us of our sins.

That's a lie. First, the church shut out the truth. We are not black, we are true Israelites based on the Bible, not speculation. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of us waking up to the truth and worshipping the true and living Savior Yahusha Hamashiach in spirit and in truth. Right!! I'm coming out of this pagan holiday. To be honest, besides Halloween, this is true just darkest holidays on this soil. My daughters and I saw someone jump off a bridge to unalive himself, a few days before Christmas. Suicide goes up around this time of the year with folks spending money they don't have for real.

Having a good time like that, in DADDY YESHUAH JESUS CHRIST CHURCH,will not get you into Heaven or rapture up!!!

This is scary. These are not the times to allow the enemy through any cracks in your armour. You know, the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:11&13). I pray they repent and receive discernment because the pastor told on himself when he said "Y'all too saved for me!"

You should be able to distinguish the things of The Lord God, from the things of the world. It should not be indistinguishable.

I prepped for a 3 day fasting during New Years Eve. I experienced breakthrough.

These kind of pastors have the wrong kind of boldness. This is Pastor William Murphy (gospel recording artist) and social media showed he went left by attending a Beyonce concert a few years ago. Before that, I only heard positive things about him. I have his older music which is worship and encouraging. music. Most Black churches do "Watch Night Service" on New Yr's Eve with only worship music exalting Christ. He knows well that the church is God's house for Holy music, not worldly music; nowadays they don't care. Signs of the times. The Word prophesied this as one of them.

Playing secular music at church is crazy. Especially on New Year’s Eve crossover service?! Lmao

😮😮 That IS NOT WORSHIPING THE LORD!! That is worshiping the world system!! Their IS hype Christian worship music! Being in Atlanta is NO EXCUSE!!

The thing that's wrong with this whole entire thing is that they're defiling the Church of God with this secular music for one when you come into the house of the Lord you supposed to leave your sinful nature outside the door them allowing the church to mimic in a sense the club with the music that they're playing and the dress code that they're allowing is the exact reason why Christianity is being made a mockery of why it's not being taken seriously because of things like this when you come into the house of the Lord you're not supposed to feel like you want to sin when you leave the church All they're doing whether it's purposely or not purposely is staring up sinful natures in people that should be put to rest and it's not right

" Yall too saved for me" That's mocking the work of the Holy Spirit. And what does that mean, anyway? You want them to act unsaved? You won't be satisfied until you see everyone grinding on each other? We're not supposed to look like the world. This is a disgrace.

Yes. He did say y'all too saved. I turn my ears off when they use that old tired line. Or this one..."so heavenly minded that you're no earthly good." Usually used to excuse away our imperfections. I don't need an excuse. I need repentance and the blood of Jesus.

As I think about both Murphy and Jakes, Murphy's music was filled with emotions and Jake's sermons were filled with emotions. I am not surprised by what they are acting out. Emotions can make you do things that revile what you really are about.

That’s William Murphy in his earlier days at New Birth he’s the same pastor that got a choir member pregnant while being married and in the ministry. I don’t put anything past him

Why do people keep calling these places church. This is not church! This man use to be my pastor. I thank God for getting me out of this mess. Been gone from there for years. WOW! 😂 I don’t know what to say… How about we start with Ex. 12 and the institution of the Passover and when TMH established the New Year. Simply amazing…..

The songs that were played, went along to the service. No one is showing the before, just the part where the song was played. The sermon was surfing and walking it out into the new year. No profanity was played. No one showed where he said keep it Holy or Christian whichever he said. This is a more contemporary style church. And the ones that are commenting regarding the service probably are the ones who don’t attend church whether you are surfing or shouting. But tune into the whole service, it was great, and not just the ending.

I used to tune into Bishop William Murphy on his 6am & 9am prayer calls on Facebook/Instagram, but I felt convicted a while ago. Now I’m starting to see why. 🤦🏾‍♀️

My church was on Zoom giving God the praise and the glory at midnight.🙌🏽 How you going to use sin to save souls? Any young people attending left the same way they came as a "sinner"

This is the same pastor that called out the church for denouncing Carlton Pearson. Our church had young men on their knees crying out to the father. We had almost ten baptized. Everyone isn't living like this. We had a great time and food afterwards

I agree why are we judging each other so much. We have a common enemy to fight. They can jump dance run do whatever they want. I don't see anything wrong with this. I wonder how David in the Bible was dancing for the lord until his close fell off 2nd Sammuel 6:14.
