Amen! At church there is clapping. I usually and a few other raise hands praise or say amen hallalujah and people look at you strange, as for myself I have to give God all the glory. God is worthy to be praised. I praise God and will continue. It a choice we make individually.

Thank you so much for this Smokie Norful! I remember all of these songs from when my twin sister, and I were young girls going to Sunday school. I have been looking for these songs, and it has been more than a challenge. I listened to this today, and it brought me to tears. I lost my mom to breast cancer, that spread through her body, and she passed in Dec. 2017. Then I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 04/30/18. I survived surgery, and Chemotherapy. I completed radiation as of March 4, 2019. I lost my job while receiving treatment. However, through God's grace, and mercy,... I am proud to say that I am more than a survivor. I am a thriver. I have never blamed God for any unfortunate thing that has occurred in my life. And I never will. I love God, and I will continue to praise his name. My mother believed in Him always,... And so will I. For God has been better to me,.... Than I've been to myself. ❤😊

Praise the LORD my son was three and sung that song one Friday nite at church ⛪️ “I am a Soldier “ he heard it so many times growing up back in the day, I am bless now to be 71 and yet singing these old school songs ❤ oh this truly take me back into the day when we wore our long black skirts with white blouse and white prayer caps.. yes, that was old school back then which we don’t want to cover our heads… my oh my I am going way, way, way back.. I love it and hope 😊everyone enjoys this old school ⛪️ church.. it’s hard to find that type of Friday nite singing anymore.. but Holy Ground Church of Deliverance still carry on with the ole school sounds, and the young folks are catching on. AMEN 🙏🏽

I just heard this "medley" by Pastor Norful . . . it put me in a HOLY GHOST SHOUT frame of mind when the spirit hit me, I got up off the couch in my grandchildren's room and began to SHOUT! I've been homeless now for nearly 2 years, living in my car . . . the church I was a member of for 26 years split 5 different ways, none of which my spirit felt comfortable following, so I got my Ministers License and am focusing on my own "Mom & Pops" type of church where my main focus is on souls being saved, people being encouraged and spirits uplifted thru prayer, spiritual counsel and true gospel preaching and singing, with NO monetary giving required . . . bring your burdens and come praise and worship at Pastor Lady Deborah's church, leave your burdens at the altar and go home shouting and praising God! Most Black churches don't sing these oldies anymore, not that there's anything wrong with the new line of music the Black churches are turning to, but I'm 55 and grew up with these songs in church and tent meetings . . . even as a child I could feel the power of God whenever these songs were sang! I’m only 20 I miss this type of church today’s music is to sad

I use to lead Praise and Worship at my old church and this is how we did it. With Dr. Shirley Moore playing the organ. These kinds of Praise Songs got you ready and excited about the Word. Saints what happen to the excitement that we had? Too much world in the church. Songs like "There is a Storm Out Over the Ocean" made you think. Thank God for the foundation
