I've posted several times about our people addressing seniors and people of status as TUI. We use tui to people who are very young to us. TUI is a derogatory term and insulting if we use them to our seniors. Even Tumi is insulting if we use it to address our seniors and elders. We use tumi to people who are egual or junior to us. You go to office and call an officer or elderly staff tui, tumi and see how your file suddenly disappears. You may even be told to get out from office for disrespecting.

Praise the lord sir, God is great, I heard this story when I was child from our elders but not that detailed. May God added many more years to serve him.
He was the speaker for the youth revival I attended. On the last day after the sermon, during the final prayer... for the first time I had a strong feeling of wanting to pray "for the speaker" and tears rolling down seeing how much he loves God and that we Nagas and beyond need servants of God like him when the harvest is near. Nagamese is the extract language of Assamese, hindi and bengali. So you refer respectful salutation of address like apuni, not tumi or toi etc. Iet us be clear Gen-z need to learn
