Don’t forget that Jesus sat in the homes of sinners and had dinner at their tables. We have to have some degree of friendship with sinners so that we can bring them to Christ. I’m looking forward to being with Jesus someday, but while I wait for that day I will be obeying His words- Go and make disciples, preach the gospel and baptize them! We must not be so offended or afraid of the sinners that we never reach them!

You know A good friend of ours is a Pastor. One Sunday he had this old beat up box out front of the church dressed as a homeless person, dirty filthy clothes, made himself dirty. People totally ignored him and walked into church. My brother looked at this guy in that box walked into church and asked if any of us were going to help this man. It came time for church people were like where is our pastor he is not here yet. Than in walks the Pastor the man dressed like a homeless man, dirty, his clothes and all walked up and preached the sermon God laid upon his heart! I wonder seriously what was going through peoples hearts and minds, how many lives were changed. What a life lesson!

The same thing took place at my church years ago. Only it was the preachers son pretending to be the drunk homeless man. Though there was an eye opening message given to the congregation, I viewed it as deceit. Deception. God is not deceitful.

We have been living in the last days it's just getting worse.

This is the preaching we need. Too many pastors and preachers nowadays say a whole lot of nothing.

How refreshing to see men and women dressed so elegantly. They look beautiful. I am so tired of seeing people get up with spiked , purple or green hair, skin tight pants and shirts, dancing around half naked on stage. Thank you for setting a standard of dress. It gives me hope.

@@sreed7637 I’m not talking about being dirty, I’m talking about modesty. I certainly have a right to judge according to the Bible. Those that met Jesus were changed. He didn’t enable them in their sin. I’m not going to worship with people that look like the extreme world. They are not of our flock and the Elders should go and council them. I have been in service where my husband had to turn his head away from the worship leader. It was indecent. That should never happen. Baby Christians may not get this and will need loving guidance but they should not be in the pulpit dressed in a way that takes the focus off of the worship and onto their body parts. That’s what is wrong with so many churches they have lost all concept of covering yourself. I’m not talking about a bee hive, turtle neck an long skirts and no make up. When anyone is approaching the body to minister should always be mindful of their appearance.

After reading all the comments I am more convinced that there are so many people that do not study their Bible and do not sit under sound doctrine. If you believe it is ok to sit under a minister or a worship leader that looks like the world you are in danger. We absolutely have a right to judge who is leading us. We also have the right to test the spirits. We judge every day in some way or another. God knows what’s in everyone’s heart and the intent of every thought and action. We are to love people no matter what. We are to have compassion, understanding and forgiveness, but when a person becomes part of the body, certain behavior is expected. If everything was a free for all it would cause strife and confusion . If people cannot tell you are a Christian then something is wrong. When I’m at work I have a dress code. Why should the church be any different? I’m not allowed to spike my hair, dye it green, show tattoos or spaghetti straps or jeans, I must present myself as a professional and people expect that. Why would that be ? Isn’t that judging? When the unsaved come into our church they are loved and shown love. They are discipled in love by the Elders of the congregation. They are encouraged to pray and study their Bibles. Patients with people is very necessary. Some people progress quickly and some people slowly ,but with a lot of love they learn and grow and you see change. Some people keep bringing up the expensive clothes some people wear. I never said anything about people having to wear expensive clothes or people being dirty and wearing old clothes. I commented about modesty. Some people need to look up the definition. There is a difference. We have both in our church and everyone is treated the same. Many are homeless, some are struggling with Homosexuality. Everyone is welcome but if you are in leadership you must have a profession of faith and be dressed modestly. This is my opinion and you can call me whatever you want. I don’t care. I know what the whole Bible says, not just one scripture pulled out of context to stymie Christians from calling out ungodliness or corrupt behavior in the church. I know what the whole Bible says about coming out of the world and being separated. Everyone is on their own path with the Lord, he is the ultimate judge. I have enough sense and discernment to know that if a pastor or a worship leader cannot get the basics down of decency and modesty what else is wrong with their doctrine? I will not sit under that and I hope you don’t either. I commend this pastor for having a standard for his flock. I’m tired of the Rock Concert effect in church, it’s foolishness

Well said. It's time to take down the stage and restore the pulpit! Get rid of the smoke machines and the flashing lights and bring back the Holy Ghost and Fire! This Pastor is preaching the truth. His congregation is a reflection of his dress code.

Whew so right this Preacher...me too longing for Heaven with Jesus. I am not of this world anymore, looking up and trying to help my family all find Jesus.

We must pray for The Lost souls everyday. Even me I keep praying for them wt their kids. I show them my kindness, even though am not perfect. Only God can convict them. I can't force them it's just end up quarelling. So I keep praying that One day they will come to the Lord. That's my burden. I don't want them to go to hell. We wrestle not with flesh and blood, but principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness in high places. God has given us his armor: the full armor of God is the belt of truth, the breast plate of righteousness, the word of God, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit which is the word of God and continue to pray with all prayer and supplication. Having done all just STAND😢!!

It’s amazing how once you’ve given yourself to God and become saved and born again how you start looking at the world through Gods eyes. Suddenly all the things you once lived in and thought were so important have now become disgusting to you and all you crave is more of God and less of your old self. And it’s impossible to have a close personal relationship with God without staying in his word daily.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. It would be nice to hear more of the word of God here. Maybe I am used to hearing preachers like John Macarther on U-Tube. Big difference in style and format in exposatory preaching.

Yes, the Church is not doomed but we can suffer God’s wrath for sin and idolatry. Like the children of Israel we can even go into exile until we are purified. Purge the idols, now-especially political messiahs and ideologies that corrupt us.

Not sure if that's what you meant but it sounds exactly like the reality we already live in today. I think that every classroom should have a Bible and that the ten commandments should be on display in every room!

@@Antiguanian I believe the bible with all my heart. And I think everyone should live after its teachings. Especially the part that was preached on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. And Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. But do you want a system that teaches children that they can choose their sex and pay to have it done for them. A system that embraces a teaching like that needs to repent their selves; thay have no business trying to teach others how to live for God.

As a theologian, I will say relative balance is vital. The reason why we haven't seen society transformed is due to the escapists mindset of the church and the clear uninvolvement in participating towards socieltal change and transformation. We think Christians shouldn't be politicians or participate in societal life in the name of love not the world. Daniel, Joseph, The three Hebrew Boys, Esther etc participated in the politics and represented God in that sphere of human operation. They were in the world but not of the world. Christ himself said " go ye into the world ". The light will never shine by running away from darkness. Rather the light shines in darkness and darkness cannot comprehend it.

I love you all with faith and the love of God. Please listen to our Lord and Savior commands us to love one another. Love your neighbor as yourself. God gave his only begotten son for all of us in love. This sounds like another way to separate us in a simple word or two. Judge not be judged. I feel in my soul this is another way to hinder Christians from saving by the grace of God a few more before this end!

No, we should not buy the Trump Bible. He was selling Bibles for profit. What he did was heretic. The man has never read the Bible. Whenever he's asked questions about the Bible he goes round in circles, but never answers the questions. Do not let Trump deceive you all. When he attended that black peoples church, he cursed while inside of the church. He claims to be a Christian, but he mocks disabled people, lies constantly, he treats others with disrespect, calls people derogatory names, and encourages others to commit acts of violence. I know we all lie sometimes, but that doesn't mean we have to follow someone like him. He has been a bully his whole life, and I know that for a fact. Is his behavior that of a true Christian? It’s not a Trump Bible. This Bible has been out already before he endorsed it for his friend Lee Greenwood. It’s a theme Bible. There are already bibles on the market that have this type of stuff added to the inside pages. It’s no different than any other type of theme Bible with things added to it such as a woman’s Bible. Also, Can sinners not promote the Bible? If a patriotic person decided to get this Bible, because of the theme of it (God bless America)and it’s the only bible they ever read, Isn’t that a good thing? Also, didn’t Jesus say, those who are not against us are for Us? At least Trump will say the name Jesus Christ. He’s not against Christ . Wait a minute Dr. Jeremiah also has a Bible out and I am sure others have one out. The reason President Trump has it his Bible is because he has the constitution in it. People say they don’t like Trump because of his mouth but God creates people to be bold. Remember people also downgrade people who speak the Gospel yet they are not Christians what does God say? It doesn’t matter His word is being told! Hate the sin not the sinner!!! It’s so easy for all of us to judge but if we worried more about our own sins as much as we worry about others we would all be better off! I whenever I come across a conflict in my life try to pray and say Ok Lord what are you trying to teach me and what are you trying to teach them. Open our hearts and minds so we see you Lord and help us to draw closer to you and you only, Forgive our trespassing against one another deliver us from this evil!!! Like I said in another post in here we see the outward appearance but GOD sees the heart. Usually you will find that we find fault with someone than there is something in our own characteristics that God is working on and bringing forth! REMEMBER the GREATEST COMMANDMENT the LORD left us with is LOVE ONE ANOTHER no matter what our circumstances are! Yes we all fall short of the glory of GOD. But He meets us where we are. Also, not everyone is at the same level of Christianity some are babes still drinking milk, some are at the meat stage. But Christ meets all of us where we are. I think sometimes we are at the meat stage but we slip down to the milk stage because we judge with our eyes and mouths not looking to God. I want the Lord to come quickly because there's NOTHING more important to me than being with Jesus. Period!!!! Why is this you ask?? Answer: because I'm not "in love " with this world!! This world has NOTHING that has priority over being with the Lord. HE is coming for those who are eagerly waiting for Him. (Hebrews 9:28). Are you eagerly waiting for Him? If not, why not??? What is it that has priority over that?? You need to rethink this notion that somehow not wanting the Lord to come, is somehow wrong. That's straight from Satan!!!
