I met Pastor Lawrence once in NCCF, PH. We had a 12 hour prayer meeting, 7 pm to 7 am... I was tired even before the program... Corpers struggles.. Around midnight I could only sit to pray. Then Pastor Lawrence walked up to me and touched me, encouraging me to encourage my friend to pray. Just as he walked close, even before he touched me, I felt such strong presence... It was so strong I felt shock, cold and strange strength... I prayed standing till dawn. I know for sure this one man has been cooked in the secret place.

Mine happened in my room, on my bed. It was a conference he held, I don't quite remember which. The conference was 1year old already as at the time I watched it in 2020. I felt this strong presence, I felt something strong coming from my stomach like I wanted to throw up but it was tongues coming out instead. It was the first time falling under anointing during my quiet time. I was screaming n roaring on my bed, I could feel the strong presence, I got scared at some point. Not a bad fear per say. I still haven't recovered from that encounter till date. My tongues changed from that night too. The "throwing up" feeling continued for days. Each time I went in to pray, before I finish saying in Jesus name, tongues took over.

it just feels so hard to pray consistently. Chants get you going for a while. Then there is this threshold you seem to have to overcome, to get to the other side. I don't know. I don't think I have been over the threshold. Maybe you crossover and then it becomes easier. Or maybe you crossover and have to do the whole thing again. I am happy for you guys that crossover the threshold. I just kinda get sad that I have not apprehended what others have. What do you guys know, that I don't, that helps you stay consistent? it is not about praying 7 hours once. Or fasting marathons. The consistency is what eludes me. 1 week of prayer and then tiredness. There should be more than this, not just for you guys but for me too.

Ask the Helper for help everyday. The Holy Spirit is the one that strengthens us in our weaknesses. Zechariah 4:6, Romans 8:11, 26. You get tired in any spiritual exercise when you engage in it in your own strength and/ or in the flesh. Depend on the Holy Spirit to help you. Invite him whenever you want to pray, praise, fast etc. In addition consistency in prayer is built overtime. It's a journey not a destination. So give yourself time and just enjoy fellowship with your Father whenever you do pray. Prayer is communing with your Father not a chore. Hope this helps. Shalom.
